10 Best Fire Weapons In Zelda TOTK (& How To Make Them)

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there exists a variety of powerful weapons, but the ones with elemental properties have the ability to inflict elemental damage in addition to regular damage. Thankfully, Link has the capability to create these weapons himself. To craft Fire Damage weapons, Link needs to combine his weapon bases with items that possess elemental fire properties, such as monster parts dropped by enemies that already deal fire damage or Zone devices that have this capability.

One such item is the Red Chuchu Jelly, which can be found in the warmer regions of the game, like near Death Mountain. Defeating red Chuchu enemies will yield Red Chuchu Jelly, which contains the elemental properties of fire. When fused with a weapon, it grants the ability to deal fire damage. However, since Chuchu jelly can only be used once, it is recommended to be used with arrows rather than melee weapons.

Fire fruit, another popular choice among players, not only causes fire damage but also has other practical uses when attached to arrows. When the fire fruit comes into contact with anything, it sets it ablaze, making it useful for burning wood or gaining an advantage in battles. Link can utilize Fire Fruit Arrows to set the grass on fire in open areas, then use his paraglider to ascend with the gust created by the flames, allowing him to gain height and evade enemies like the Gloom Hands.

Rubies, one of the gems found in the game, can be attached to weapons to create Fire Damage. They can also be used defensively by attaching them to shields, causing fire damage to enemies whenever they strike the shield. Another option is to combine Rubies with Rods to create a magic staff-like weapon.

Bomb Flowers are highly sought-after fuse materials in Tears of the Kingdom. When attached to arrows, they create explosive fire damage that can take out multiple enemies or deal significant damage. This combination is especially effective against battle talus, allowing Link to eliminate multiple riding enemies at once.

Keese Eye and Keese Wing are also excellent options for creating fire damage arrows. The Keese Eye material creates homing arrows that lock onto targets, making it useful for hitting slippery or hard-to-aim-at enemies. The Keese Wing allows arrows to travel a greater distance, enabling Link to set things on fire from afar.

The Lizalfos Horn is a strong and durable material that can be attached to melee weapons, enhancing their damage-dealing capabilities. With the addition of fire properties, the Lizalfos Horn allows Link to deal greater damage and attack multiple enemies simultaneously. However, Lizalfos only drop one horn at a time, so it’s advisable to farm them whenever possible.

The Gleeok Flame Horn, when fused with a sturdy melee base, becomes a powerful weapon in Link’s arsenal. Although obtaining Gleeok Horns requires defeating Gleeoks, the Flame and Frost Gleeoks are easier to handle than the Thunder Gleeoks, as they are weak to their opposing elements. The effort is worth it, as Gleeoks drop multiple Horns upon defeat.

The Flame Emitter Club is an easily obtainable weapon that can deal significant fire damage. By combining a Zonai Flame Emitter device with a club using the Fuse ability, Link can create this potent weapon. It can also be attached to other melee weapons or shields, allowing Link to unleash a stream of fire until the battery runs out. Despite the need for recharging, the Flame Emitter Club remains one of the most effective ways to inflict fire damage on multiple enemies simultaneously.

Dinraal’s Horn is a valuable attachment for melee weapons that inflicts fire damage. However, obtaining it can be challenging, as Link must navigate the burning body of the Dragon, Dinraal. If Link lacks the appropriate armor, he can glide near the dragon and shoot arrows at its horn to make the material drop. Link can then collect it as it falls through the air.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a highly anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild, released in 2017. Unlike previous Zelda titles, Tears of the Kingdom is a direct continuation of the story. In this game, Link explores a mysterious kingdom in the clouds and uncovers the secrets of the dark beings that reside above and below the earth. Built on the same engine as its predecessor, the game features unique physics tools. While details about the plot and gameplay are limited, it is estimated to offer a gameplay experience of 35-50 hours.

There are several great weapons in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdombut the ability to do elemental damage in addition to regular damage is reserved for weapons with elemental properties. Fortunately, Link can make them himself.

To make Fire Damage weapons in Zelda: Tears of the KingdomLink will need to fuse his weapon bases with items that contain elemental fire properties, such as monster parts dropped by enemies already dealing fire damage or Zone devices that do so.

10 Red Chuchu Jelly

Red Chuchu Jelly in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is something that players may come across in the warmer regions of the game, such as near Death Mountain. There they will find red Chuchu enemieswhich, when defeated, produce Red Chuchu Jelly. This jelly contains the elemental properties of fire. When fused with a weapon, it will allow it to do fire damage. However, since Chuchu jelly is a one-use itemit is recommended to be utilized with arrowsnot with a melee weapon.

9 Fire Fruit Arrows

Fire fruit is a popular choice among players for many reasons. While this is a great way to deal fire damage, it has many better uses when attached to arrows. Fire fruit will set anything ablaze that it touches, so it can be a great way to burn through some wood or even gain an advantage. Often, Link will need to gain some height on his enemies, such as the Gloom Hands in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, to avoid taking damage, but there isn’t always somewhere to climb. When out in those open areas, Link can simply use the Fire Fruit Arrow to set the grass ablaze and then jump and open his paraglider, which will drive him upwards with the gust created by the fire.

8 Ruby Rods & Weapons

Rubies are one of the several gems in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They can be found by mining any ore deposits lying around in caves, but the drops are completely random. When attached to a weapon, rubies will create Fire Damage when used. Though best used on a melee weapon, Link can use these defensively as well by attaching them to a shield which will create fire damage for enemies anytime they strike it, and finally, one of the most popular options is using Rubies with Rods to create a magic staff of sorts.

7 Bomb Flower Arrows

Likely, the most popular fuse material is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Bomb Flowers. It has many uses, but one, in particular, is attaching it to arrows to create a fiery explosion. When used, these bombs can take out several enemies or, at the very least, do large amounts of damage. This combo is highly recommended when dealing with the battle talus as it gives Link a way to take out multiple of the riding enemies at once.

6 Fire Keese Eye Arrows

The Keese Eye is also an excellent option for arrowsnot only because it allows Link to do fire damage from a distance but any eye monster material creates a homing arrow that will lock in on its target. This is a great way to do fire damage to slippery enemies that won’t seem to sit still or anything that Link is having trouble aiming at. Though it isn’t normally a significant amount of damage, the elemental aspect boosts it slightly.

5 Fire Keese Wing Arrows

The Fire Keese Wing is also a material dropped by the Keese enemies upon defeat. Specifically the Fire Keese enemies. As with all wings, however, the Keese wing will allow arrows to fly farther than they would normally. This means that Link can use the Fire Keese Wings to set things on fire from a further distance which can be used for multiple things, such as structures or enemies. Either way, it’s an excellent item to have on hand when normal arrows don’t reach where needed.

4 Fire Lizalfos Horn

Link and Fire Lizalfos in Zelda_ Tears of the Kingdom

The Lizalfos Horn is a great item to use on melee weapons in general, but the elemental ones are even better. The Lizalfos Horns are strong and durablewhich means they are a reliable weapon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for Link through at least several enemies. Therefore, having an elemental property like fire allows greater damage and the ability to damage multiple enemies simultaneously. Unfortunately, each Lizalfos only drops one at a time, so try to farm them when possible.

3 Gleeok Flame Horn Weapon

The Gleeok Flame Horn is a solid and durable item, and when fused with a sturdy melee baseit becomes one of the more powerful weapons Link can obtain. Unfortunately, gathering Gleeok Horns means having to take on a Gleeok in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdombut the Flame and Frost Gleeoks are significantly easier than the Thunder ones, as the former are weak to their opposing elements. However, the hard work is well rewarded, as Gleeoks will drop more than one Horn upon their death.

2 Flame Emitter Weapons

Link holding a flame emitter shield that is shooting fire

The Flame Emitter Club is one of the earliest and most easily obtainable weapons that can do a lot of fire damage. This can be made by using the Fuse ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to combine a Zonai Flame Emitter device with a club. It can also be attached to any other melee weapon or shield of Link’s choosing. When used, the Flame Emitter will fire off a stream of fire until the battery runs out. At that point, it will need to recharge; however, even with having to recharge, this is still one of the highest ways of dealing fire damage to multiple enemies at a time.

1 Dinraal’s Horn Weapon

The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom Link Farming Dinraal's Claw

Dinraal’s Horn is a great melee weapon attachment for fire damage, but a little harder to obtain than some of the others as Link will have a more difficult time landing on him. Though the flight path of this Dragon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is very linear and easy to follow, his body is burning up. Therefore, if Link gets too close without the proper precautions, he will immediately begin to take damage and quickly die. If Link doesn’t have the right armor to help him gather the materials, he can always glide near the dragon and then fire arrows at the hornwhich will cause the material to drop from his body, and Link can chase it through the air in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to collect it.
