‘A thing of ancient times’
Drake is entrusting his future to “God’s plan.”
The five-time Grammy winner recently discussed his love life and revealed why he has not yet gotten married.
During an appearance on “The Really Good Podcast with Bobbi Althoff,” Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, referred to marriage as “a thing of ancient times.”
He expressed uncertainty about whether he will eventually tie the knot, stating, “I don’t know, it seems like a thing of, like, ancient times or something. I think I will eventually. I don’t know, I don’t think I can offer somebody what they’d be looking for. Just consistency. I think my life, my work is my priority.”
When Althoff jokingly suggested that Drake avoids settling down to continue “sleeping around,” the rapper promptly dismissed the notion.

The “One Dance” artist explained that he is unable to offer consistency or commitment to a relationship at this stage in his life.
He further stated, “I don’t want to get married because I just don’t want to disappoint someone.”
Drake, who has been romantically linked to various A-list women such as Rashida Jones, Tyra Banks, SZA, Julia Fox, and Rihanna, expressed his belief that he cannot envision himself settling down with a fellow celebrity.

He shared, “I probably will not end up marrying someone famous. Famous people really aren’t that intriguing.”
When asked about the qualities he seeks in a significant other, Drake expressed his desire for someone who is an individual.
He explained, “I like somebody that’s, like, their own. They’re not just a carbon copy, someone that I’ve seen numerous times throughout my existence. I appreciate someone with a sense of humor. I like cosplay, you know?”

Althoff asked, “What do you want them to dress up as?”
Drake responded, “No, I don’t need them to dress up. I would probably be more interested in them if they are into cosplay. Not with me, just in general.”
