Andy Cohen has apologized for insinuating that Raquel Leviss was “really medicated” during the “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10 reunion. Cohen admitted on his show “Radio Andy” that he did not have any evidence to support his claims and that it was wrong of him to speculate.
Andy Cohen was ‘wrong’ to say Raquel Leviss was ‘medicated’ at reunion
Despite receiving criticism from her co-stars over her affair with Tom Sandoval while he was in a relationship with Ariana Madix, Leviss handled the situation with composure and grace. Cohen revealed that he was worried about her mental health during the reunion taping, and Leviss’ unemotional response to Scheana Shay’s emotional breakdown further fueled his concerns.
However, Shay, who has denied punching Leviss, also found her aloof demeanor very confusing. Lala Kent even compared her to a robot. After filming, Leviss checked herself into a mental health facility and remains there.
Andy Cohen is issuing a mea culpa for suggesting Raquel Leviss was “really medicated” during the “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10 reunion, during which she displayed very little emotion.
The Bravo honcho admitted on his “Radio Andy” show Tuesday that he did not “know” that to be true and it was therefore “wrong” of him to “speculate.”
“She took it all on the chin like a champ,” he said of the “relentless” criticism Leviss received from her co-stars over her months-long affair with Tom Sandoval, who was in a nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix at the time.
“And she just sat there and took it,” he went on. “I didn’t know that she would be able to, which is probably why I hypothesized.”
In fact, the network exec said that was “one of the reasons” why he wanted to interview her separately from the group.
“I did not know how long Raquel would last on set,” he explained, later adding, “Given my years of experience in these forums, I would’ve thought that she would’ve walked off way sooner and maybe walked into her car never to be seen again.”

Cohen, 55, told Variety last week that he went into the March 23 reunion taping “worried for Raquel’s mental health.”
“But actually, when I saw how unemotional she was, it made me think she was either really medicated or really out of touch with her role in everything,” he said.
The “Watch What Happens Live” host pointed specifically to Leviss’ odd response to Scheana Shay’s emotional breakdown over the temporary restraining order the former had filed against the latter, which she later dropped.

“When Scheana is crying her eyes out and [Raquel] says [from her] trailer, ‘I should have written her a note,’ I found that very confusing. It made me think that maybe there was something she was missing about what these relationships were,” Cohen said.
“It made me think that maybe she didn’t think they were as real as the other people thought. I didn’t understand.”

Shay – who has continuously denied punching the former beauty pageant queen upon learning of the dalliance in early March — also weighed in on her aloof state.

“It was lights on, no-one’s home,” the 38-year-old shared. “[It was] bizarre. I never could have imagined that reaction because the Raquel who I was friends with wasn’t that person.”
Meanwhile, Lala Kent – who vocally annihilated both Leviss and Sandoval, 40, at the reunion – compared the 28-year-old to a robot.
After filming, Leviss checked herself into a mental health facility, where she remains.
