Angelina Jolie hires 15-year-old daughter as her assistant
Angelia Jolie has chosen to involve her family in her latest venture. The renowned actress has enlisted the help of her youngest daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, who is 15 years old, as her assistant for the upcoming Broadway production of “The Outsiders,” according to sources from TheFantasyTimes. Jolie spoke highly of Vivienne, stating that she sees similarities between her daughter and her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who was an actress and producer. Jolie described Vivienne as someone who is not interested in being the center of attention but instead focuses on supporting other creative individuals. The actress praised Vivienne’s dedication to the theater and her determination to contribute in the best way possible.
It seems that Vivienne’s passion for the production began when she accompanied her mother to the world premiere of the musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel in San Diego earlier this year. A close source to Jolie revealed that Vivienne “fell in love” with the show and its story. It is worth noting that Jolie has been taking Vivienne to the theater since she was a young girl, and they even had the opportunity to meet S.E. Hinton, the author of the novel. This encounter with Hinton played a significant role in inspiring Jolie to take on the lead producer role for the Broadway run of the show. Jolie’s goal is to make the musical resonate with young people, ensuring that their voices are heard and their perspectives are considered throughout the production process.
Vivienne is not the only child of Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt who is pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Both Maddox and Pax, their other sons, have worked as assistant directors on Jolie’s film “Without Blood,” which was filmed in Italy last year. Additionally, Jolie’s eldest child, who is studying biochemistry at Yonsei University in South Korea, has also been actively involved in her own pursuits. Zahara recently started her freshman year at Spelman College in Atlanta, while Shiloh has shown potential in the performing arts, as evidenced by a video of her dancing that surfaced recently.
Overall, Jolie’s decision to involve her family in her projects highlights her commitment to nurturing their talents and interests. Despite the challenges they have faced as a family, it is clear that Jolie and Pitt’s children are finding their own paths and making their mark in the entertainment industry.
Angelia Jolie is keeping it in the family.
The A-lister hired her youngest daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 15, to be her assistant on the upcoming Broadway production of “The Outsiders,” TheFantasyTimes has learned.
“Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Jolie said in statement, referring to her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who was an actress and producer until her death in 2007.
“She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute,” the actress added.
A source close to the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” star said Vivienne “fell in love” with the musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s 1967 novel when she accompanied her mom to the world premiere in San Diego, Calif., earlier this year.
“Angelina has been taking her daughter Vivienne to the theater since she was a little girl. Angelina and Vivienne met with S.E. Hinton, who was around Vivienne’s age when she wrote the novel,” the insider explained.
Additionally, the source noted the conversation with Hinton inspired the Oscar winner to take on the lead producer role for the show’s Broadway run.
Another source close to Jolie, 48, said she wants the musical to “resonate with young people.”
“She wants to ensure the team is listening and working with young people every step of the way, and that their voices are leading in bringing this production to life on Broadway,” they explained.
Vivienne and her twin brother, Knox, are the youngest children of Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt, who have been locked in a years-long battle over their French property, Château Miraval.

But Vivienne isn’t the only child following in her parents’ footsteps in the entertainment industry.
Both Maddox and Pax worked in the assistant director department of Jolie’s upcoming film, “Without Blood,” which was shot in Italy last year.

Zahara, for her part, started her freshman year at Spelman College in Atlanta in 2022, while Shiloh proved she may have a career in performing ahead of her when a video of her dancing surfaced that same year.
