However, his mother, Lisa Cloud, later reassured fans that her son’s last day was a joyful one and that he had no intention of ending his life.
In their initial statement, the family expressed their deep sorrow at saying goodbye to such an incredible human being. They mentioned that Cloud had recently buried his father and was struggling immensely with the loss. The family found solace in the belief that Cloud was now reunited with his beloved father, who had been his best friend. They also acknowledged Cloud’s openness about his mental health battles and hoped that his passing would serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should seek support.
Lisa Cloud further explained in a follow-up Facebook post that despite her son’s grief over his father’s death, his last day was filled with joy. He was organizing his room and making plans to stay in the home he loved. He spoke about wanting to support his sisters in college and provide emotional and financial assistance to his mother.
Although Cloud seemed to be in good spirits with his friends before his death, he was undoubtedly still mourning his father’s loss. Lisa recalled their last moments together, expressing their love for each other and expecting to see each other in the morning.
As previously reported, Lisa called 911 around 11:30 a.m. to report a possible overdose when she discovered her son without a pulse. Cloud rose to fame for his role in “Euphoria” alongside Zendaya. His death was met with an outpouring of grief from friends and fans worldwide. Zendaya honored him with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, describing Cloud as an infinitely beautiful person and expressing her gratitude for having known him as a brother. She reminisced about his warm eyes, bright smile, and infectious laughter, emphasizing the boundless light, love, and joy he brought into their lives.

After the actor died in his Oakland, Calif. home, his family released a statement that seemed to indicate he had taken his own life.
However, his mother, Lisa Cloud, later told fans that the actor’s “last day was a joyful one” and insisted “he did not intend to check out of this world.”

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” the family’s initial statement began.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” the heartbreaking message continued.
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

In a follow-up post on Facebook, Lisa shed more light on the circumstances that led to Angus’ passing.
“Although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one,” she wrote.
“He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved. He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially.”


Lisa went on to describe that as the pair said goodnight to each other, “we said how much we loved each other and he said he would see me in the morning.”

“I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it),” she continued.
“I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…’they could light up any room they entered’ but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment.”
