Best Movies Leaving Hulu in July 2023

Hulu boasts an extensive collection of movies and shows, making it one of the largest streaming services available. They consistently release a plethora of original content each month, catering to a wide range of genres from action to comedy. In June, Hulu introduced a fantastic selection of movies that viewers thoroughly enjoyed. However, as with any streaming platform, certain contracts are set to expire, leading to the departure of a few films in July.

On the eleventh of July, both “Puss in Boots” and “Shrek Forever After,” which are spinoffs of DreamWork’s iconic film “Shrek,” will bid farewell. “Puss in Boots” follows the thrilling solo adventure of the titular fairy-tale Spaniard feline, voiced by Antonio Banderas, while “Shrek Forever After” concludes the beloved franchise as Shrek longs for his solitary life in the swamp. These films have captivated audiences with their heartwarming stories and memorable characters.

On the sixteenth of July, the entire “Twilight” saga will disappear from Hulu. Based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels, these five films depict the unconventional romance between Bella Swan, a normal high-school girl, portrayed by Kristen Stewart, and Edward Cullen, an immortal vampire played by Robert Pattinson. The saga delves into their unique connection amidst the challenges they face, including the introduction of werewolves. “Twilight” has become a staple in the young adult genre, so seize the opportunity to watch them before they vanish into the night.

Lastly, on the thirty-first of July, several remarkable movies will bid their farewell, including “The Hunger Games.” This dystopian saga, based on Suzanne Collins’ novels, portrays a world where young children are forced to participate in a deadly game for the amusement of the ruling class. The story follows Katniss Everdeen, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence, as she becomes a symbol of rebellion against the oppressive regime. “The Hunger Games” has left an indelible mark on the young generation and is a must-watch before it departs from Hulu.

Another film leaving on the thirty-first is “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” the first live-action adaptation of the popular video game series. This mystery adventure follows Tim Goodman, played by Justice Smith, as he teams up with a talking Pikachu, voiced by Ryan Reynolds, to solve the mystery surrounding his father’s disappearance. The film offers a delightful blend of humor and intrigue, making it a hit among fans. A sequel has already been confirmed, so make sure to catch the original before the next installment arrives.

Lastly, both “Shrek” and “Shrek 2” will be bidding farewell on the thirty-first of July. These two films are considered the highlights of the franchise, with the original film even earning two Oscars. “Shrek” revolutionized traditional fairy tales by portraying the titular ogre as the hero in a comedic and morally-driven story. Fans will be pleased to know that a fifth installment is currently in development, bringing back the beloved characters for more adventures. Take the opportunity to revisit the series before it leaves Hulu.

In conclusion, Hulu’s library offers an incredible variety of movies and shows, and it’s important to catch these departing films before they’re gone. From the enchanting fairy tales of “Shrek” to the captivating romance of “Twilight” and the thrilling dystopia of “The Hunger Games,” these movies have left a lasting impact on viewers. Additionally, “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” offers a fun and engaging experience for both fans and newcomers to the franchise. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy these films on Hulu before they bid their final goodbye.

Hulu has one of the largest libraries of any streaming service, with loads of old and new movies and shows, releasing tons of original content every single month, featuring various everything from action to comedy and fan favorites to obscure, with plenty of great movies that came to Hulu last June. Though, like every streamer, some contracts are expiring for Hulu, and so a few films are going to be bidding farewell this July.
