Candy Spelling turns off comments after backlash over Tori’s RV stay
No comments have been made towards Candy Spelling. The actress has chosen to disable the comments section on her Instagram posts following the backlash she received in regards to her daughter Tori Spelling and her five children staying in an RV. Despite the negative attention, Candy decided to share a picture of her beautiful rose garden, seemingly ignoring the headlines. While many of her 77-year-old followers criticized her in the comments, those scathing remarks are no longer visible. However, the social media upload itself remains visible. Before Candy disabled the comments, one user pointed out that she is a grandmother and should get her daughter and grandchildren out of the RV and into a proper home. Other comments also criticized Candy for being selfish and risking the lives of her family. Representatives for Tori and Candy did not respond to requests for comment from TheFantasyTimes. Later, it was reported that Candy did find a house for Tori to move into, but Tori refused because she had specific preferences for where she wanted to live. Tori’s children, Stella, Liam, Hattie, Finn, and Beau, are currently living in a motorhome at a campground. A source revealed that Candy spent hours on the phone trying to find a house but ultimately believes that they should live where they want to live. Tori, who is reportedly facing financial struggles, has been seen staying at friends’ houses and a cheap motel in Los Angeles after being forced out of her home due to a severe mold infestation. She is also in the process of divorcing her estranged husband, Dean McDermott, with whom she shares five children. Although Candy reportedly found a home for Tori, Tori turned it down. Tori defended her parenting choices in an interview in a Target parking lot, emphasizing that she would do anything for her kids. When Candy was questioned by TMZ, she confirmed that she would financially support Tori during the divorce and would always be there for her. It is worth noting that Candy inherited $600 million after the death of her husband, Aaron Spelling, in 2006, while Tori and her brother Ryan were left with $800,000. Candy and Tori have had a strained relationship over the years but were seen spending time together in September 2022 for the first time in five years. Tori expressed her happiness about their improved relationship during an interview on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” and credited their mutual friend, Josh Flagg, for bringing them back together.
