Carl Radke addresses canceled wedding: Lindsay Hubbard ‘is devastated’
Carl Radke has spoken out about his recent split from Lindsay Hubbard, less than two weeks after their engagement was called off on August 31. In a letter obtained by People, Radke expressed his devastation and asked for patience and understanding during this difficult time. He apologized to their anticipated wedding guests for the lack of communication and confusion surrounding the cancellation. While Radke did not provide specific reasons for the breakup, he acknowledged the presence of false narratives and misunderstandings that have added to the pain. Radke expressed gratitude for the love and support they have received and offered assistance with any costs associated with changing plans. Hubbard has not publicly addressed the breakup, and her representatives have not responded to requests for comment. Sources have revealed that Radke was the one to end the engagement, and it is speculated that the breakup will be featured on the upcoming season of “Summer House.” Despite the split, Radke and Hubbard still follow each other on social media and have not deleted their photos together. However, Hubbard has removed her pinned engagement posts. The couple had been dating for less than a year before their engagement was called off. They initially met while filming the first season of “Summer House” in 2016 and started dating three years later. After a brief split, they rekindled their relationship in September 2021 and confirmed their status as a couple in January 2022. The proposal took place in the Hamptons, and the engagement announcement is still pinned to the top of Hubbard’s profile. The exact timing of the breakup is unknown, as filming for the eighth season of “Summer House” began in July.
Carl Radke addressed his split from Lindsay Hubbard less than two weeks after TheFantasyTimes confirmed they called off their engagement on Aug. 31.
“The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I’m crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time,” he wrote in a letter to family and friends obtained by People.
Radke continued writing, “Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I.”
The “Summer House” star also apologized to their anticipated wedding guests “for the confusion and lack of communication.”
“We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves,” he wrote.
Radke didn’t elaborate on why he called off their wedding, but he did claim that there are “a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful.”

“I don’t take [this] lightly. We are super grateful for the love and support you have shown us and will do what I can to help with any costs associated with changing plans,” he continued.
The exes were set to tie the knot in a destination wedding in Mexico on Nov. 17, 2023.
“I’m sorry again this has become such a mess,” he wrote. “Thanks for your unconditional love and support during this tough time. Will be in touch with further updates. With love, Carl”
Hubbard has yet to address the breakup nor did her reps immediately return TheFantasyTimes’s request for comment.

On Aug. 31, sources told Entertainment Tonight that Radke, 38, was the one who decided to end things.
“Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard have called off their engagement. The two were set to get married in November, but Carl told Lindsay he couldn’t move forward with the wedding,” an insider told the outlet.
“The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out on the next season of Summer House,” they added.

While it’s unclear exactly what led to the split, the pair seem to be on good terms as they still follow one another on social media and haven’t deleted any of their photos together. However, Hubbard did remove her pinned engagement posts with her at the top of her feed.
In fact, just two weeks before their breakup Hubbard, 37, posted pictures from her garden-themed bridal shower — which included a special appearance from her now ex-fiancé.

“Carlito showed up and surprised me at the end! 😍🥰” she captioned photos of Radke greeting her with a bouquet of flowers.
She also included a video of the pair sharing a sweet smooch.

Along with Radke, several of her Bravo co-stars were also in attendance, including Amanda Batula, Danielle Olivera, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod and Samantha Feher.
Radke and Hubbard met in 2016 while filming Season 1 of “Summer House” and started dating three years later.
However, the pair ultimately decided they were better off as friends and split after less than a year of dating.

Yet in September 2021, the two were spotted getting cozy at Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s wedding.
After months of speculation, Hubbard confirmed to TheFantasyTimes that she and her co-star were taking their relationship out of the friend zone — again.
“We don’t really talk in labels, Carl and I … [but] we’re very much together. We’re very happy,” she told us in January 2022.

Just seven months later, the former Loverboy employee popped the question in the Hamptons while Bravo cameras were rolling.
“My advice: Never give up on that fairytale kind of love! 👩🏼❤️💋👨🏻 (Sorry to be sappy, but f*ck it’s hard not to be right now),” Hubbard captioned the announcement, which is still pinned to the top of her profile.
Season 8 of “Summer House” started filming in July, yet it’s unclear exactly when the pair called things off.
