Chrissy Teigen, John Legend to renew vows on 10th anniversary
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are set to renew their vows this weekend in Lake Como, Italy, to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, according to TMZ. The ceremony will take place at the same picturesque location where they first got married on September 14, 2013. The guest list for the star-studded event is said to be impressive. The festivities will include a cocktail party on Friday, a renewal ceremony on Saturday, and a pool party on Sunday. It is reported that the celebration will be held at the luxurious Passalacqua villa, where preparations are already underway.
Teigen hinted at the upcoming ceremony on her Instagram Story, mentioning that the “10th anniversary weekend is commmming” and using the hashtag “#johnXchrissy” alongside a photo of a poolside location. During their initial wedding a decade ago at Villa Pizzo, the couple had notable guests such as Kim Kardashian and Brooklyn Decker, with Stevie Wonder performing his song “Ribbon in the Sky” and Legend serenading Teigen with his ballad “All of Me.” Biz Markie served as the DJ for the evening. Teigen wore three stunning Vera Wang gowns on her special day.
The couple’s journey began in 2006 when they met on the set of Legend’s music video for “Stereo.” They got engaged in 2011 and had a memorable wedding in 2013. Their family expanded in recent years with the birth of their daughter Luna in April 2016 and their son Miles in May 2018. However, 2020 brought both joy and heartbreak as Teigen experienced a devastating pregnancy loss at 20 weeks in October and later gave birth to their daughter Esti in January 2021. In a surprising turn of events, they welcomed another baby, son Wren, via surrogate just five months later. Teigen shared on Instagram that she had always wanted four children and they found the “perfect match” in Alexandra, who inspired Wren’s middle name. The family of six recently enjoyed their first vacation together.
