Collin Gosselin hasn’t spoken to siblings since 2016, blames Kate
Collin Gosselin has not maintained contact with six of his seven siblings for nearly ten years, and he attributes this to his estranged mother, Kate Gosselin.
“I believe my mom created a social barrier between us,” the 19-year-old stated in Vice TV’s latest episode of “Dark Side of the 2000s,” titled “Jon & Kate: Family Circus.”
“She presented the story in one way, and obviously, I perceive the story differently.”
In 2016, when Collin was 12 years old, Kate, who is now 48, sent him to a mental health facility.
At the time, she told the media that it was because her son had “special needs.”
However, Collin has since claimed that his mother was “abusive” towards him and that she wanted to send him away to prevent him from exposing the family’s deep, dark secrets.

TheFantasyTimes has reached out to Kate for comment but has not received an immediate response. She previously denied the allegations in an interview on “Good Morning America.”
In 2018, while institutionalized, Collin sent a handwritten letter using crayons to his father, Jon Gosselin, who had divorced Kate in 2009.
The young boy pleaded with his father to free him from the Fairmount Behavioral Health Institute in Philadelphia, which eventually led to Jon filing for full custody of his son.

In 2016, Jon also obtained custody of Hannah Gosselin, but the other four sextuplets, Leah, Alexis, Aaden, and Joel, as well as the twins, Madelyn and Cara, continue to live with Kate.
The custody battle caused a rift in the family, particularly with Collin, and the siblings living with their mother have not spoken to their brother since 2016.
“They don’t communicate with Collin,” Hannah confirmed in the Vice documentary. “They chose not to have a relationship with him.”

The 19-year-old also revealed that she did not speak to Collin while he was in the facility because they were unaware of the truth.
“We didn’t even know where he was, so that was a significant issue for me because I couldn’t understand why my mom would do that to one of our siblings, her own child,” Hannah said. “That is a very dark part of our past.”

Collin speculated that his mother had manipulated his brothers and sisters.

Collin Gosselin has not communicated with six of his seven siblings in nearly a decade — and he blames his estranged mom, Kate Gosselin, for it.
“I think my mom kind of drove a social barrier between us,” the 19-year-old said in Vice TV’s new episode of the “Dark Side of the 2000s,” titled “Jon & Kate: Family Circus.”

“We didn’t even know where he was, so that was a big thing for me because I couldn’t comprehend why my mom would do that to one of our siblings, you know, her own kid,” Hannah said. “That is, like, a really dark part of our past.”

Collin speculated that his mother had brainwashed his brothers and sisters.

In November 2022, the high school grad shared that he wanted to reconnect with his siblings but did not want to force them into having a relationship with him.
“I want to respect their space and their time and respect how they feel about everything, so I’m kind of just waiting for the day that they reach out,” he previously told “Entertainment Tonight.”
“I don’t want to reach out. I don’t want to invade their space,” Collin added. “I’d rather just let them do it on their own terms.”
