Danny Masterson’s wife Bijou Phillips has ‘no plans’ for divorce after rape sentencing
According to reports, Bijou Phillips, the wife of Danny Masterson, is feeling distraught about her husband’s 30-year prison sentence but has no intentions of ending their marriage. A source revealed that she has been going through a tough time since the conviction and still loves Danny, with no plans to file for divorce. She will stand by his side throughout it all. Despite struggling to cope, Bijou remains surrounded by family and friends and holds onto hope for a future appeal. Besides worrying about life without her husband, she also fears for his safety in prison. However, she has no plans to file for divorce from Danny Masterson, who was convicted of rape.
Last week, sources mentioned that Phillips is extremely worried about someone harming her husband while he is in prison. She has been plagued by scary and morbid thoughts since his conviction. Despite the nightmare, she will continue to support him and be there for their daughter. The stress she is experiencing is unlike anything she has felt before. Nonetheless, she does not believe Danny will harm himself in jail and remains convinced of his innocence. It is reported that Bijou Phillips is distraught about her husband’s recent sentencing.
In May, Masterson was found guilty of raping two women in 2003. During the trial, he was accused of drugging his victims before sexually assaulting them. Despite witnessing the evidence in the courtroom, Phillips cannot accept that her longtime spouse committed these crimes. She firmly believes in his innocence. The legal battle has lasted for years, and Phillips has stood by Masterson’s side throughout. The charges were initially brought against him in June 2020, but the trial resulted in a mistrial. In the second hearing, he was found guilty on two of the three charges and sentenced to 30 years in prison. At the sentencing, the judge emphasized that Masterson was not the victim and that his actions 20 years ago took away someone else’s voice and choice.
Masterson faced the first accusation of rape in 2017, leading to an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. Three women claimed to have been sexually assaulted by him. As a result, he was fired from his Netflix series and dropped by his talent agency. Phillips and Masterson, both Scientologists, got married in 2011.

Despite being in the courtroom and hearing the evidence, insiders say Phillips “can’t accept” that her longtime spouse committed the crimes for which he was convicted.
“Danny is adamant he did nothing wrong and Bijou believes him,” the source told the Daily Mail.

Phillips has stood by Masterson’s side throughout the years-long legal battle, which began in June 2020 when the “Ranch” star was charged on three different counts of forcible rape.
Masterson, who pled not guilty, was initially tried for the allegations in November 2022 but it was declared a mistrial.
During the second hearing, the actor was found guilty on two of the three charges of rape and sentenced to 30 years behind bars.
“Mr. Masterson, you are not the victim here,” Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo said at the sentencing last week. “Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s voice and choice. Your actions 20 years ago were criminal, and that is why you are here.”

Masterson was first accused of rape in 2017. At the time, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they were conducting an investigation into the actor after three women claimed they were sexually assaulted by him.
He was subsequently fired from his hit Netflix series and released by his talent agency.
