Darius Jackson slams ‘false’ reports claiming he’s ‘moved on’ from Keke Palmer
Darius Jackson is addressing the rumors surrounding his relationship with Keke Palmer. Taking to Twitter on Friday, Jackson clarified that he has not spoken to anyone or authorized anyone to speak on his behalf. He expressed that any statements attributed to him are false. To emphasize his point, he shared a clip from the movie “Forrest Gump,” where Tom Hanks’ character famously says, “And that’s all I have to say about that.”
Earlier this week, reports surfaced claiming that Jackson and Palmer had ended their two-year relationship. However, Jackson debunked these rumors, reiterating that he has not given permission for anyone to speak on his behalf. The speculation about their breakup started after Jackson publicly criticized Palmer’s outfit for an Usher concert in July. The video of Usher serenading Palmer in a revealing black dress over a thong bodysuit went viral, and Jackson expressed his disapproval on Twitter, commenting on her role as a mother.
Despite the backlash he received for his comments, Jackson stood by his opinion, stating that he believes a husband and father should not want his wife and the mother of his children to showcase her body to please others. However, Palmer appeared unfazed by the criticism and continued to share her all-black look from the Las Vegas concert on Instagram. She expressed her enjoyment of the concert and recommended that others see Usher perform live.
Amidst the controversy, Palmer and Usher recently collaborated on his music video for “Boyfriend.” In the video, they appeared to subtly reference Jackson, with Palmer saying, “I am a mother after all,” and winking at the camera.
Palmer and Jackson first met at a Memorial Day party in 2021 but only confirmed their relationship in March 2022. They welcomed their son, Leodis, in February 2023. Although Palmer typically keeps her personal life private, she publicly announced her pregnancy during a segment on “Saturday Night Live” in December 2022, putting an end to the rumors circulating about her expecting a child.
