Does Indiana Jones 5 have a post-credits scene?

As is the query with any blockbuster release in present times — does the latest adventure of Indiana Jones, titled “The Dial of Destiny,” include a scene after the end credits?

Caution: Minor spoilers ahead for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”

The concluding scene of “The Dial of Destiny” showcases the reunion of Indy (played by Harrison Ford) and Marion (played by Karen Allen). The two engage in their classic banter of “Where doesn’t it hurt?” from “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and the camera then shifts to Indy’s fire escape where his iconic fedora rests. The Iris shot gradually closes in on the hat as Ford grabs it and removes it from the frame. At this point, the end credits roll, styled in a manner reminiscent of the opening credits of “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

To put it simply, “The Dial of Destiny” does not feature any mid or post-credits scenes. However, there are approximately eight minutes of credits before a final LucasFilms logo appears.

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” marks the fifth and ultimate installment in the beloved series. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Indy, who must retrieve the Antikytherea (or the titular dial of destiny) before it falls into the hands of Jürgen Voller — a former Nazi recruited by NASA to aid in the Space Race and Indy’s adversary from a quarter-century ago. Phoebe Waller-Bridge also stars in the film as Helena, Indy’s goddaughter. The remaining cast includes John Rhys-Davies as Sallah from previous films, Toby Jones as Basil Shaw (Helena’s father), Boyd Holbrook as Klaber (Voller’s henchman), and Shaunette Renée Wilson as Mason, a government agent from the United States. Antonio Banderas makes an appearance as Renaldo, one of Indy’s old friends. The film is directed by James Mangold, known for directing “Walk the Line” and “Ford v. Ferrari.”

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is currently showing in theaters.

Warning: Light spoilers ahead for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

The very last scene of Dial of Destiny sees the reunion of Indy (Harrison Ford) and Marion (Karen Allen). The two riff on their “Where doesn’t it hurt?” bit from Raiders of the Lost Ark and the camera cuts to a shot of Indy’s fire escape where his fedora resides. The Iris shot then closes in on the hat as Ford grabs it and takes it out of frame. The end credits — which are stylized like the Raiders of the Lost Ark opening credits — then roll.

In short, there are no mid or post-credits scenes in Dial of Destiny. There are about eight minutes of credits, however, before one final LucasFilms logo pops up.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the fifth and final film in the popular series. Harrison Ford once again returns as Indy as he has to retrieve the Antikytherea (or the titular dial of destiny) before it gets into the hands of Jürgen Voller — a former Nazi that has been recruited by NASA to assist in the Space Race and foe from a quarter-century earlier. Phoebe Waller-Bridge also stars in the film as Indy’s goddaughter, Helena. Filling out the rest of the cast is John Rhys-Davies as Sallah from earlier films, Toby Jones as Basil Shaw (Helena’s father), Boyd Holbrook as Klaber (Voller’s henchman), and Shaunette Renée Wilson as Mason, a U.S. government agent. Antonio Banderas also appears as Renaldo — an old friend of Indy. James Mangold (Walk the Line, Ford v. Ferrari) directed the film.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is in theaters now.
