Dolores Catania wants to lose more weight using Ozempic-like drug
Dolores Catania disclosed that she is currently attempting to shed more weight after already losing 20 pounds using Mounjaro, a variation of the weight-loss medication Ozempic.
“I have lost 20 pounds,” Catania informed the US Sun, while also stating that her objective is to reach a weight in the low 130s.
The star of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” explained that prior to taking Mounjaro, she weighed 157 pounds, and her current weight is 137 pounds.
Catania began taking the diabetes-turned-weight-loss medication when she weighed 163 pounds and was consistently gaining weight.

“It doesn’t happen overnight. It isn’t easy,” she stated during an event for her BELLA Around Town magazine cover launch party on Wednesday.
The 52-year-old Bravolebrity explained that she previously used Ozempic for two years before taking a break and switching to Mounjaro.
“I was prescribed both medications because I have insulin resistance/pre-diabetes and a thyroid problem,” she continued. “I stopped taking Ozempic because it was expensive and everything.”

Catania made sure to emphasize that in addition to using the once-weekly injectable, she also exercises regularly and watches her diet.
Regarding the trend of celebrities, including many of her fellow Bravolebrities, turning to the diabetes drug to lose weight, Catania admitted that it can be questionable at times. However, all the doctors she spoke to assured her that there are no negative consequences.

The mom of two previously got candid about her Mounjaro with TheFantasyTimes’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast where she explained she uses it for medical reasons.
“I’m going through menopause, I have a thyroid issue, I have inflammation and weight is hard to take off,” she spilled in April.

“And I work out, and I don’t eat crazy, and I was gaining weight, and it’s a lot of different layers. … Let’s just let everybody know.”
Catania joins several other Bravolebs who have fessed up to using it – including her fellow “RHONJ” co-star Jennifer Fessler, “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Emily Simpson and “Shahs of Sunset” star Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi.
Meanwhile, many other Bravo stars – like Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais and Gina Kirschenheiter – have all denied using it to achieve a fit bod.
