Alaina Scott, daughter of the renowned musician Eminem, has put an end to rumors that her father missed her wedding ceremony. In an interview with People on Thursday, Scott revealed that her father walked her down the aisle and wouldn’t have missed the special moment for anything in the world.
Scott’s sister, Hailie Jade Mathers, served as the maid of honor at the wedding, which took place on June 9 in Shelby Township, Michigan. The intimate ceremony had around 125 close friends and family, and the bride wore a beautiful mermaid-style gown designed by Katerina Bocci.
Eminem’s role in daughter Alaina’s wedding revealed following speculation he skipped nuptials
Scott described the wedding as “super untraditional” and planned every last detail herself, including customized napkins featuring the couple’s dogs with the phrase “Our parents are married!” written on them. The wedding had a “Great Gatsby glam” theme and was surrounded by 2000 white roses that lined the aisle, with 1940 and 1947 Packard limousine cars serving as the ceremony’s backdrop.
Eminem’s brother, Nathan “Nate” Kane Mathers, performed his song “Slide On Over” for the newlyweds, which Scott called “really fun.” The couple got engaged in December 2021 after seven years of dating. Eminem, who shares three children with his ex-wife Kim Scott, legally adopted Alaina in the early 2000s from Kim’s twin sister, who was struggling with drug addiction. Eminem also adopted Kim’s child Stevie, whom she shared with Eric Hartter, in 2005.
Alaina Scott revealed the special role her father, Eminem, played at her wedding after fans speculated that he had missed the ceremony.
“My dad walked me down the aisle,” Scott told People Thursday. “He wasn’t going to miss that.”
Scott’s 27-year-old sister, Hailie Jade Mathers, was also by her side as her maid of honor.
The musician’s daughter tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller on June 9 in a “Great Gatsby glam”-theme ceremony in Shelby Township, Mich.
“None of this would have been possible without my Dad. I’m beyond blessed,” she said. “Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives.”

Scott, 30, explained that the intimate wedding —with 125 close friends and family — was “super untraditional” and “important to [the couple],” so they didn’t “allow many plus ones.”
“Our wedding was something out of a movie,” Scott said.
The bride wore a beautiful mermaid-style gown with off-the-shoulder draping and a glamorous tulle train, designed by Katerina Bocci.

Gushing over her “magical” day, Scott shared that she planned “every last detail,” including customized napkins featuring the couple’s dogs with the phrase “‘Our parents are married!’” written on the design.
The glam wedding also featured “2000 white roses” lining the aisle, as well as 1940 and 1947 Packard limousine cars at the ceremony.
“It’s just very rewarding to see all your hard work come to life.”

Scott’s clarification comes after fans speculated that the “8 Mile” star, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, wasn’t in attendance after he was notably absent from wedding photos posted to the bride’s Instagram Monday.

One user commented, asking, “Where’s Marshall?” while another wrote, “Not me zooming in to look for Eminem.”
However, other fans tried to quell the glaring rumors in Scott’s comment section.

“Y’all stop. I’m positive her dad was there, he’s very respectful of his children and letting them have their moments. I’m sure she has pictures with him too, but they are private, not for all of you vultures,” one user wrote.
Scott and Moeller got engaged in December 2021 after more than seven years of dating.
Eminem, 50, shares three children with ex-wife Kim Scott. They first welcomed Hailie in 1995 before divorcing in 2006.

In the early 2000s, the rapper legally adopted Alaina from Kim’s twin sister, who was struggling with drug addiction. Dawn later died of a suspected drug overdose in 2016.
He also legally adopted Kim’s child Stevie, whom she shared with Eric Hartter, in 2005. Hartter died in 2019.
Stevie, 21, came out as non-binary two years later.
As for Hailie, the “Just a Little Shady” podcast host got engaged to longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock in February, celebrating the big news with a lavish engagement party in May.
