“It’s absolutely terrible. They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She’s devastated,” a source informed TheFantasyTimes.
Slater and Jay have been married since 2018 and celebrated their 10-year anniversary as a couple last November.
They have been filming “Wicked” in London for the past year, and sources speculate that Grande is the reason for their sudden breakup, even though there were no apparent issues between them,” the source added.
Even as recently as two months ago, Slater, 31, showered praises on his “wonderful” wife in an Instagram post for Mother’s Day.
“Happy first Mother’s Day to the most loving, caring, and wonderful mom/person in the world,” he wrote.
The post featured a photo of their son’s hands. Since then, he has made his social media account private.
Sources from the production informed us that Jay, 32, and their baby have visited the “Wicked” set. We have also heard that Grande, 30, has spent time with the couple together.

Meanwhile, we reported earlier this week that Grande and her real estate agent husband, Dalton Gomez, separated in January, but they have remained “incredibly amicable.”
