Garcelle Beauvais disclosed that her fellow cast member on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Kyle Richards, is doing well following her unexpected separation from Mauricio Umansky.
TheFantasyTimes had an exclusive interview with the actress from “Spider-Man: Homecoming” on Tuesday at the premiere of the Netflix show “Survival of the Thickest” in New York City.
Although the star of “Coming 2 America” did not have specific details about the former couple, she did mention that she reached out to Richards when she heard the news.
“I just sent her a text asking if she’s okay. I didn’t expect a response for days, but she replied and said she’s hanging in there,” said Beauvais, who is 56 years old.
Last week, it was revealed that Richards, who is 54 years old, and Umansky, who is 53 years old, decided to end their 27-year marriage.

TheFantasyTimes confirmed the separation a few hours before the estranged couple posted a statement on Instagram, where they discussed their “most challenging” year together.
“Any claims of us getting divorced are false,” the statement read. “However, it’s true that we’ve had a difficult year. The most challenging one in our marriage. But we still love and respect each other deeply.”
Richards and Umansky emphasized that “no one is at fault” and requested that fans not create false stories to fit a sensational narrative.
Despite their separation, the former couple has been seen together and continues to wear their wedding rings, presenting a united front as co-parents to their three daughters: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.
The real estate broker and his estranged wife were recently spotted spending the Fourth of July together in a photo posted on Instagram.
