A recent leak for Genshin Impact has unveiled two new sets of artifacts that will be introduced in the upcoming version 4.0, which will bring the new Fontaine region. The introduction of the new Fontaine region has generated much excitement among fans, and beta leaks have already provided a glimpse of the upcoming content, including new characters, weapons, and explorable areas. The game has officially announced three new playable characters for version 4.0: Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Additionally, a recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed two new artifact sets that will be added in the same update. The first set is called Golden Troup and offers the following bonuses:

x
  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Elemental Skill damage by 20%
  • Four-piece bonus: Provides an additional 20% damage buff on the character’s Elemental Skill. This effect can be further increased by 20% if the character is not currently active in combat.

This set is ideal for characters whose abilities revolve around their Elemental Skill, such as the Electro users Yae Miko and Fischl. Many fans speculate that this artifact set could elevate these characters to the S-tier, as their playstyle in most team compositions involves using their Elemental Skills before switching out.

Although these two characters may seem like the obvious choices, this artifact set can also benefit many other DPS or support characters in Genshin Impact, as it provides one of the most substantial buffs to Elemental Skills in the game. The second set, called Marechaussee Hunter, offers the following effects:

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Normal and Charged Attack damage by 15%
  • Four-piece bonus: When the set holder’s HP changes, their Critical Rate will increase by 11% for 5 seconds. This effect can stack up to three times.

Many fans in the comments believe that this artifact set will be the go-to choice for some of the upcoming five-star DPS units who rely on Normal and Charged Attacks for dealing damage. Additionally, this set can also benefit several current Genshin Impact DPS units, including Cyno, Razor, and Itto, who heavily rely on their Normal Attacks for damage output.

Each Genshin Impact character can equip up to five different artifact pieces that provide various stats, from flat HP to increasing the character’s elemental damage. Developer HoYoverse introduces approximately one artifact set per update which usually fits the playstyle of one specific character from the roster.

Many fans claim that this could propel both characters to the S-tier since their playstyle in most team compositions consists of using their Elemental Skills before getting swapped out.

While these two characters seem like the obvious choices, this set can also be equipped on many other DPS or support characters in Genshin Impact since it provides one of the largest Elemental Skill buffs in the game. The second set is called Marechaussee Hunter, and it will have the following effects:
