Final Fantasy 16 has finally arrived, bringing with it some amazing bonuses for those who pre-ordered the game or purchased the Deluxe or Collector’s Editions. These bonuses are incredibly beneficial and can greatly enhance the gaming experience.

If you’re wondering how to claim and redeem these bonuses, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a helpful guide. While some of the bonuses are easy to find, others may require a bit more effort to uncover.

Update by Erin Rice on June 28, 2023: As time goes on, players are continuously discovering new information about Final Fantasy XVI. To assist readers in learning more about specific aspects of the game, we have included relevant in-text links. Additionally, certain sections have been rewritten for improved clarity.

Pre-Order Bonuses

Regardless of which edition you pre-ordered, you will receive two special in-game rewards. These rewards include the powerful Braveheart weapon, boasting 130 damage and 130 stagger, as well as the Cait Sith Charm accessory, which increases Gil earnings by 25%.

If you opted for a digital copy instead of a physical one, you will receive an additional in-game reward. The digital copy bonuses will automatically be available to you at a certain point in the game. However, if you purchased a physical copy, you should have received a redemption code via email from the retailer or inside the game case. This code can be redeemed through the PlayStation Store.

Deluxe Edition Bonuses

For those who purchased the physical Deluxe Edition, you will receive a steel book and a cloth map of Valistheathe, the captivating world in which the game is set. On the other hand, if you chose the digital deluxe version, you will gain access to a digital mini-artbook and a digital soundtrack. Simply download the Square Enix Digital Content Viewer from the PlayStation Store to enjoy these bonuses.

The Collector’s Edition includes all of the aforementioned items, as well as some fantastic physical collectibles. However, there is one exclusive in-game reward that can only be obtained through this edition: The Blood Sword. This item can be acquired in the same manner as other in-game items.

How To Redeem Your Bonuses

To access the mini-artbook or soundtrack, download the Square Enix Digital Content Viewer from the PlayStation Store. In order to claim all of your in-game bonuses, there are a few steps you need to follow. Once you access your inventory, a notification will appear, informing you that your redeemable items can be obtained through the System tab in the main menu after completing the quest “A Chance Encounter.” This quest is completed relatively early in the game. After finishing the quest, you will receive another message indicating that you can now claim your bonuses. Simply navigate to the System tab in the main menu, where you will find all of your items waiting to be claimed and utilized. They will instantly appear in your inventory, ready for use.
