How To Get Gil Fast

Gil serves as the primary currency in all Final Fantasy games, allowing players to acquire various unique items that aid the game’s protagonist on their adventure. In Final Fantasy 16, there are multiple ways to obtain Gil, but accumulating large sums requires specific approaches.

When players need to replenish Clive’s potion supply or purchase new weapons, accessories, or items, they must ensure they have enough Gil. Fortunately, there are several methods to farm Gil in Final Fantasy 16, but some are more rewarding than others.

For players who pre-ordered Final Fantasy 16, they will have access to the Cait Sith Charman accessory. Equipping this accessory increases the amount of Gil Clive earns by 25%. By using this accessory from the beginning of the game, players can accumulate a significant amount of Gil while progressing through the story. However, those desiring even more Gil should focus on completing side quests and defeating specific enemies.

Completing side quests is a useful way to acquire Gil in the early game. Additionally, exploring Rosaria and Sanbreque and defeating enemies in those areas can also yield valuable Gil. Slaying Bluebirds is particularly beneficial, as they can reward Clive with valuable items like Goblin Coins, Black Blood, and Gil Bugs. These items have no crafting purpose and exist solely to be sold for Gil. To efficiently farm Gil from Bluebirds, players can travel north of Northreach, defeat the two Bluebirds that spawn there, fast-travel back to Northreach, and repeat the process.

For players willing to go the extra mile to acquire Gil, there is an exploit involving restorative items. If Clive dies in combat, his restorative items will be replenished upon respawning. By taking advantage of this, players can sell all of Clive’s healable items, purposely die in combat to replenish them, and then sell them again for a profit. Although this method is time-consuming, it can be used indefinitely for Gil farming.

In the mid-game, during the “Home, Sweet Home” main quest, players can acquire the Golden Testament accessory, which increases Clive’s Gil intake by 35%. Equipping this accessory alongside the Cait Sith Charm raises the amount of Gil Clive earns by 60%. To obtain the Golden Testament, Clive must interact with Charon at her shop in The Hideaway and purchase it for 5,000 Gil. Additionally, Clive can earn Gil by finding and defeating Notorious Marks. The rewards for defeating a Notorious Mark can be found in its description on the Hunt Board, making it easy for players to see which offers the most Gil. If players are still unsatisfied with their Gil earnings, they can continue farming Bluebirds and selling valuable items.

In the late game, upon reaching The Kingdom of Waloed, players will likely have amassed a significant amount of Gil, but there are still opportunities to earn more. Completing side quests and hunts remains a great way to increase Clive’s wealth. However, those looking for a substantial increase should seek out the One Man’s Treasure item. The map leading to this item can be found in the northwest region of The Great Southern Gate in The Kingdom of Waloed. Once acquired, players can travel to the Titan’s Wake area of Dhalmekia and find the chest containing the One Man’s Treasure, which can be sold for 100,000 Gil. Another method to farm Gil in the late game is to defeat the Hyena lurking in The Kingdom of Waloed. Hyenas often drop Goblin Coins and can be found by traveling east from the Ravenwit Walls Obelisk to the edge of the map.

In Final Fantasy Mode, players can obtain the Golden Testament 2 accessory, which increases the amount of Gil earned by 50%. However, this accessory is not obtainable during the first playthrough, so players would need to replay the story to acquire it.

Final Fantasy 16 is exclusively available for PlayStation 5.
