‘I worked my ass off and had therapy’ to write my memoir
Britney Spears has put in tremendous effort to write her highly anticipated memoir.
The renowned pop icon, aged 41, announced on Tuesday that her tell-all book, titled “The Woman in Me,” will be released on October 24.
Sharing the news on Instagram, following the announcement, the hitmaker of “Gimme More” revealed that she had undergone extensive therapy to prepare herself for such a significant project.
“Okay guys, so my book will be coming out very soon,” she informed her 42 million Instagram followers. “I have worked tirelessly to complete this book, and I have received a lot of therapy to make it happen. So, I hope you all enjoy it. And if you don’t, that’s okay too.”
Subsequently, the singer posted a second video in which she repeated a similar statement, but her husband, Sam Asghari, can be heard advising her that she is doing “too much” in the clip.
Following the clip, Spears sang “Kokomo” by The Beach Boys, hinting at an upcoming trip to Bermuda.
On Tuesday, the publishing house teased that her memoir “illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story” on her own terms.
The book is described as “a courageous and incredibly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope,” according to a press release.

The singer was finally liberated from her “abusive” conservatorship in November 2021, which was established by her father, Jamie Spears, in February 2008.
TheFantasyTimes exclusively reported in February 2022 that the “Toxic” singer had secured a groundbreaking book deal with Simon & Schuster, rumored to be worth up to $15 million.
In April, sources told TheFantasyTimes exclusively that Britney, aged 41, had finished writing her memoir and that it would “rock the world.”
