Jawan Has A Record First Week; Last 30 First-Week Grossers Ruled By Shah Rukh Khan with 11 Films —
Jawan has achieved an extraordinary opening week at the box office. The movie has exceeded the first-week numbers of Pathaan, which had set a remarkable record in January 2023. Pathaan had the advantage of a 5-day weekend, but Jawan managed to surpass it despite having only a 4-day weekend and being a new release.
Pathaan had shattered the long-standing record of Salman Khan’s Sultan (2016), which was also a YRF film and had a 5-day weekend. It is challenging for other movies to achieve a record-breaking opening weekend and week with a regular Friday release, and that is why Sultan and Pathaan’s opening numbers were significantly higher than those of other blockbusters. Nevertheless, Jawan has now broken all previous records, and that is the most important thing.
