Jen Shah has ‘bonded’ with Elizabeth Holmes in prison: ‘They’re friends’

Jen Shah and Elizabeth Holmes have developed a strong bond while serving their sentences in a Texas prison. Chris Giovanni, the representative of the former “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star, revealed that the two women have grown close in recent months. Giovanni stated that they have become friends and have connected over their shared journey towards positive change and rehabilitation. They have a deep understanding of each other’s situations and are supporting one another through this challenging time.

Interestingly, Shah, who is 49 years old, has taken on a maternal role for Holmes, who is 38 years old and recently gave birth to her second child before starting her prison term. Giovanni mentioned that Shah has provided Holmes with valuable advice and even had the opportunity to meet and hold her baby. Shah has displayed great affection towards the young family and has been incredibly supportive.

Furthermore, Holmes has shown her support for Shah’s fitness class, “Sha-mazing Abs,” which has contributed to the reality TV star’s impressive 15-pound weight loss. Giovanni shared that Shah gathers the other inmates and leads them in fitness exercises, with Holmes actively participating alongside them. This camaraderie and shared experiences have further strengthened their bond.

Giovanni emphasized that Shah’s growth extends beyond her physical appearance. He explained that both women have undergone significant personal transformations while in prison. Shah, in particular, has focused on becoming a better person and has taken Holmes under her wing. She has shed the negative image portrayed on the show and has embraced peace and groundedness. She still maintains her sense of humor and wit, but has graduated from anger management classes and has found a sense of inner calm.

Shah was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison in January for wire fraud related to her telemarketing scheme. However, her sentence was reduced by a year, and she is now expected to be released on August 30, 2028, four years earlier than originally anticipated. Additionally, she had to pay restitution of $6.5 million to her victims.

On the other hand, Holmes, who deceived doctors and patients with her fraudulent blood-testing company, Theranos, was convicted of four counts of wire fraud in early 2022. She received an 11-year prison sentence, which was later reduced by two years. Holmes is set to be released on December 29, 2032.

In conclusion, Jen Shah and Elizabeth Holmes have formed a strong bond while serving their respective sentences in a Texas prison. They have supported each other through their shared experiences and have grown as individuals. Shah has become a mother figure for Holmes and has offered guidance and support. Both women have embraced personal growth and are focused on becoming better individuals. Despite their challenging circumstances, they have found strength in their friendship. Shah’s release date has been moved up, while Holmes is set to be released in 2032.

Jen Shah and Elizabeth Holmes have become fast friends while serving their respective sentences in the same Texas prison.

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” alum’s rep, Chris Giovanni, told People Thursday that the two women have grown quite close in recent months.

“They’re friends,” Giovanni told the outlet. “They’re both rehabilitating and have bonded over being on this journey of positive change.”

Not only that, but Giovanni said that Shah, 49, has become a mother figure for the 38-year-old, who gave birth to her second child just a few months before starting her prison stint.

“Jen’s given her a lot of advice. She’s even met Elizabeth’s baby and held her,” Giovanni said, noting that Shah has been “very loving” to the young family.

Holmes has also been supporting Shah’s fitness class, called “Sha-mazing Abs,” which contributed to the reality TV star’s 15-pound weight loss.

“Jen gets all the ladies together and they rally behind her while she teaches them fitness moves, and Elizabeth has been there right along with them,” Giovanni added.

Although Giovanni said Shah looks “phenomenal,” he assured the outlet that her growth hasn’t been just skin-deep.

The talent manager explained that both women have “changed a lot behind bars” and that the “RHOSLC” alum is really focused on “being a better person.”

“Jen’s not anything like the show portrayed her to be. She’s so peaceful now,” he said. “She’s still funny and has her one-liners, but she’s graduated from anger management classes and is much more grounded.”

Shah was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison in January after pleading guilty to wire fraud in connection to her nationwide telemarketing scheme.

However, her sentence was reduced by a year, making her new release date Aug. 30, 2028.

In addition to her time behind bars, the reality TV star also had to pay her victims $6.5 million in restitution.

Meanwhile, Holmes — who defrauded doctors and patients into investing in her fake blood-testing company, Theranos — was convicted on four counts of wire fraud at the beginning of 2022 and sentenced to 11 years in jail.

Like Shah, her sentence was later slashed by two years and she is now set to be released on Dec. 29, 2032.
