Jessa Duggar pregnant, expecting baby No. 5 with Ben Seewald after miscarriage
Jessa Duggar has made an exciting announcement, revealing that she and her husband, Ben Seewald, are expecting their fifth child. This news comes after the couple experienced the devastating loss of a miscarriage. Sharing the joyful update on her Instagram Story, the “19 Kids and Counting” alum expressed her gratitude to God for blessing them with a “rainbow baby.” Alongside the announcement, Duggar included a link to a YouTube video titled “A Baby on the Way & Romantic Getaway,” where she shared footage of her positive pregnancy test placed on the bathroom counter.
In the video, Duggar expressed her excitement about the upcoming arrival of their rainbow baby, while also acknowledging the heartbreak they experienced from the previous loss. This joyous news follows their announcement in February about the miscarriage they had endured. Through Duggar’s YouTube channel, the reality star and her husband opened up about their heartbreaking experience, recounting the moments they spent at the hospital, holding hands and shedding tears as they tried to process the loss of their fifth child. Duggar described feeling completely shocked and unable to find the right words in that moment.
After receiving concerning news during a check-up that her fetus did not appear healthy, Duggar underwent a dilation and curettage procedure at the hospital to remove the fetus from her womb. Reflecting on the experience, she mentioned how miscarriages can be particularly distressing because they often lack clear warning signs.
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are already parents to four children: Spurgeon (7), Henry (6), Ivy (4), and Fern (2). This new addition to their family comes after the couple’s previous loss and serves as a source of great joy and gratitude. They had previously shared their excitement about welcoming another child before their daughter Fern’s birth, and they are now thrilled to share this news with their fans.
In conclusion, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their fifth child, following the heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage. They express their gratitude for the blessing of a rainbow baby and share their journey with their followers through social media and YouTube.

Duggar, 30, recalled sitting at the hospital with Seewald, 28, “trying to process the loss [while] sitting there and holding hands and crying” after being informed of the loss of what would have been their fifth child.
“Nothing could have prepared me for the weight of those words in that moment,” she continued, adding, “At that moment I was just in complete shock. I didn’t have words. I just immediately started crying.”

After receiving news that her fetus did not “look good” during a check-up, Duggar checked into a hospital where she had a dilation and curettage procedure in order to remove the fetus from her womb.
“I feel like in some ways miscarriages can be so jarring because you don’t have clear signs of something going wrong,” Duggar shared.
The reality star and Seewald share four children together: Spurgeon, 7, Henry, 6, Ivy, 4, and Fern, 2.

Duggar and Seewald suffered a similar tragedy in 2021 ahead of the birth of their daughter, Fern.
“After the heartbreaking loss of a baby last year, we’re overjoyed to share that another little Seewald is on the way,” the couple shared in a statement at the time.
“The pregnancy is going smoothly, and both baby and Jessa are doing well.”
