Jesse Metcalfe is retaliating against Sharna Burgess’s recent remark about him being her worst partner on “Dancing With the Stars.” Metcalfe’s representative responded strongly, stating that if Burgess was referring to a past collaboration four years ago, the only recollection was that they didn’t get along. The representative emphasized that vague insinuations are both reckless and irrelevant. Burgess made this statement during the debut episode of her podcast, “Oldish,” earlier in the day. Although she didn’t mention Metcalfe by name, she mentioned having a difficult partner when she returned to the ABC competition series in 2020 after a two-year hiatus. She claimed that things occurred which prevented her from being alone in a room with him, leading to a rocky relationship and their quick elimination. Metcalfe’s representative reiterated that the vague insinuations made by Burgess hold no merit. Burgess, who won the mirrorball trophy in Season 27 with radio host Bobby Bones, and Metcalfe finished in 12th place on Season 29 and were the fourth couple to be eliminated. Representatives for “Dancing With the Stars” have not responded to requests for additional comments. Despite Burgess’s negative experience with Metcalfe, she returned to the show in 2021 and was partnered with her current boyfriend, Brian Austin Green. They finished in 12th place on Season 29. Burgess also had an unsuccessful professional stint with “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Brian Austin Green, as they were eliminated in the third week. However, the couple found love and welcomed a baby together in 2022, the same year Burgess left “DWTS.” The upcoming 32nd season of the show will feature celebrities such as Jamie Lynn Spears, Mira Sorvino, Barry Williams, Ariana Madix, Alyson Hannigan, and Mauricio Umansky.

The “Desperate Housewives” star issued a fiery response after Sharna Burgess described him as her worst partner on “Dancing With the Stars.”
“If she is referring to a time where our client Jesse Metcalfe worked with Ms. Burgess four years ago, the only recollection was that they didn’t get along,” Metcalfe’s rep told TVLine Tuesday.
“Vague insinuations are not only reckless but also irrelevant,” the actor’s publicist added.
Burgess, 38, dropped the bombshell in the debut episode of her podcast, “Oldish,” earlier Tuesday.
While the professional dancer did not mention Metcalfe, 44, by name, she recalled having “a partner that was really difficult” to work with when she returned to the ABC competition series in 2020 after a two-year break.
“I wasn’t able to be in the room alone with him after the first couple of weeks because of things that happened,” she claimed. “And so that was rocky, and we were eliminated very quickly.”
Burgess — who won the Season 27 mirrorball trophy with radio host Bobby Bones — and the “John Tucker Must Die” star finished in 12th place on Season 29 as the fourth couple to be sent home.

Reps for “Dancing With the Stars” did not immediately respond to TheFantasyTimes’s requests for additional comment.
Despite her allegedly negative experience with Metcalfe, the Australian choreographer returned to the show in 2021 and was partnered with her now-boyfriend, Brian Austin Green.
Burgess did not have much professional luck with the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star, 50, either, as they were eliminated third.
However, the couple found love and went on to have a baby together in 2022, the same year the new mom departed “DWTS.”
