Bigg Boss | Bigg Boss OTT 2: Jiya Shankar becomes new captain, nominates Pooja Bhatt for eviction using special powers
Actress Jiya Shankar took over as the captain of the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, replacing YouTuber Abhishek Malhan. Despite facing three consecutive eviction nominations since the beginning of the reality show hosted by Salman Khan and streamed on JioCinema, Jiya managed to survive.
Abhishek was removed from his position as captain by Bigg Boss for breaking the rule of not sleeping on the show. Consequently, Jiya was granted the captaincy of the house.
Along with her new role, Jiya was given the authority to nominate one contestant for elimination this week. Without wasting any time, she exercised her newfound power and surprised Pooja Bhatt by nominating her, causing a stir in the house.
This week, Falaq Naaz, Avinash Sachdev, Cyrus Broacha, Manisha Rani, Jad Hadid, and Bebika Dhurve are also nominated for eviction. In the nomination task during Monday’s episode, all the housemates were instructed by Bigg Boss to use a ‘reject stamp’ to nominate two individuals for elimination. At the end of the process, Jiya and Abhishek emerged as the only safe contestants for the week.
Meanwhile, an argument broke out between Jiya and Manisha when the latter interrupted a conversation Jiya was having with Jad about onions. Tajikistan singer Abdu Rozik attempted to defuse the tension by imitating their voices and actions.
Later in the episode, Bigg Boss announced that it was time for Abdu to leave the house and he could choose four names from the nominated contestants to create reels with them on his songs. He selected Jad, Manisha, Jiya, and Avinash.
After Abdu’s departure, Avinash accused Manisha of making Abdu uncomfortable during the reel-making task, which embarrassed the renowned Tajikistan singer and put him in a difficult situation.
