Joe Jonas addresses Sophie Turner divorce at LA concert: ‘Don’t believe’ the rumors
Joe Jonas has taken the opportunity to address his recent split from Sophie Turner during a concert in Los Angeles. The singer paused the performance to deliver a message to his fans, emphasizing that they should only believe information that comes directly from him. He expressed gratitude for the love and support he has received from his fans and his family. Joe then proceeded to perform the band’s song “Hesitate,” a track that he had previously dedicated to Turner. Videos from the concert show Joe getting emotional while singing the ballad.
The concert took place less than two weeks after Joe officially filed for divorce from Turner, with whom he shares two daughters. Following the news, various reports surfaced, detailing the reasons behind their separation. According to sources, Joe overheard something via a Ring camera that made him realize their marriage was irreparable. Another insider claimed that Turner’s partying lifestyle was a contributing factor, as they both had different preferences when it came to socializing. In addition, it was revealed that Joe had been unhappy in the relationship for some time.
A source close to Joe shared that divorce was a last resort for him, as he never wanted to break up his family. However, he believed it was the best decision for his daughters and their well-being. The source also clarified that the situation was not as dramatic as some reports suggested. Despite the private nature of their relationship, conflicting reports emerged, including claims that Joe was unsupportive of Turner after the birth of their second child. It was alleged that he pressured her to attend industry events when she preferred to stay at home with their daughters. These reports also mentioned Turner’s excessive partying as a source of tension.
Neither Joe nor Turner’s representatives have commented on the reports. However, the couple released a joint statement on Instagram, announcing their amicable decision to end their marriage after four years. They requested privacy for themselves and their children. The couple initially got married in a spontaneous ceremony in Las Vegas and later had a formal wedding in France, surrounded by loved ones. Their divorce filing noted that they had signed a prenuptial agreement, ensuring that Joe retained his music royalties and Turner kept any residuals from her acting career.

The “Waffle House” crooner interrupted the Jonas Brothers’ Los Angeles concert at Dodger Stadium Saturday night to issue a PSA to his fans.
“It’s been a crazy week,” Joe, 34, admitted.
“I just wanna say, look – if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. OK?”
The “Camp Rock” star, who was on stage with his brothers Kevin and Nick Jonas, added, “Thank you everyone for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys.”
Joe then launched into the band’s song ”Hesitate,” which he famously dedicated to Turner, 27, in the past.

The show kicked off less than two weeks after Joe officially filed for divorce from the “Game of Thrones” star, with whom he shares two daughters.
In the aftermath of the news, several reports emerged with allegations detailing the breakdown of their relationship.
Multiple sources claimed to TMZ last week that Joe overheard the actress “say or do” something via a Ring camera that made him realize their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
Another insider also told the outlet that Turner’s alleged partying was a factor in the split.
“She likes to party; he likes to stay at home,” the source claimed. “They have very different lifestyles.”
Meanwhile, TheFantasyTimes learned Tuesday that the father of two had been “unhappy” for some time.
“Divorce was a last resort for Joe. He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls,” a source told us exclusively.
“An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year.”
The source also noted, “There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported.”
Seemingly conflicting reports were then published by TMZ, claiming Joe was “less than supportive” of Turner when she was struggling after giving birth to their second child.
He allegedly pressured the “Do Revenge” star to attend industry events although she preferred to stay home with their two daughters.
At one event that Turner didn’t attend, the “Year 3000” singer allegedly complained that his then-wife needed to get out more.
Reps for the pair have not responded to any reports. However, the couple put on a united front by releasing a joint statement via Instagram last week.
