Kevin Costner’s ex hits beach in Hawaii after nearly $130K child support award
Christine Baumgartner appeared to be in high spirits as she enjoyed the sunny weather in Hawaii, despite her ongoing divorce from Kevin Costner. The mother of three was all smiles as she relaxed at the beach with her children on Thursday, just a week after a judge granted her almost $130,000 per month in child support. At 49 years old, Baumgartner showcased her toned physique and sun-kissed tan in a stylish black floral bikini, complemented by black sunglasses and a statement pendant necklace. During her beach outing, she took the opportunity to take selfies with her 13-year-old daughter, Grace, who wore a matching white bikini.
After capturing some solo shots of her daughter playing in the water, Baumgartner returned to the lawn chairs outside the Four Seasons Resort. Before leaving the beach, she donned a white cover-up and a floppy tan hat. It was reported last week that Baumgartner felt a sense of relief after being awarded a substantial amount of child support. Alongside her daughter, Baumgartner accessorized with a cream pendant necklace. She recently obtained a monthly child support payment of almost $130,000. However, she initially requested $248,000 per month, which greatly contrasted with Costner’s proposal of $52,000 per month. Baumgartner argued that she required additional funds to maintain her children’s current lifestyle, which includes the assistance of personal staff for managing schedules, food preparation, grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning. A source stated that Baumgartner did not want her children to suffer or face negative consequences due to the divorce.
Despite the substantial dispute in child support, both Baumgartner and Costner have been making efforts to spend quality time with their children amidst the ongoing drama. A week prior to Baumgartner’s Hawaiian vacation, Costner took their children on a trip to British Columbia, Canada. This pre-planned vacation caused Costner to miss a scheduled court date related to their divorce proceedings. Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner in May, citing irreconcilable differences. However, upon Costner’s return, he accused Baumgartner of attempting to take advantage of him financially. Court documents revealed his concerns about her taking his property without his knowledge or consent. In response, Baumgartner assured that she would not strip their $145 million home bare but the judge ruled that they must have a discussion before she can take any property from their Santa Barbara, California estate. Both parties have filed for joint custody of their children.
Christine Baumgartner seemed to be in great spirits while soaking up the sun in Hawaii — despite her ongoing divorce from Kevin Costner.
The mother of three was all smiles while relaxing at the beach with her children Thursday — just over one week after a judge awarded her nearly $130,000 per month in child support.
Baumgartner, 49, showed off her toned figure — and sun-kissed tan — in a black, floral bikini which she paired with black sunglasses and a large pendant necklace.
At one point, the former handbag designer stopped to snap some selfies with her 13-year-old daughter, Grace, who wore a similar white bikini.

After taking some solo shots of the teen splashing around in the water, Baumgartner headed back to the lawn chairs outside the Four Seasons Resort.
Before leaving the beach, Baumgartner — who also shares sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, with the “Yellowstone” star, 68 — popped on a white cover-up and floppy tan hat.
Sources told People last week that the former model felt “relieved” after being awarded the hefty chunk of change in child support.

However, she was originally requested $248,000 a month, which was a stark contrast from Costner’s $52,000 a month suggestion.
Baumgartner argued that she needed more money to avoid drastic changes to her kids’ lifestyle, which includes assistants to help with schedules, food prep, grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning.
“The divorce is not their fault,” a source said of the pair’s children. “She doesn’t want them to suffer, or experience negative life changes because of it.”

Despite the former couple’s bitter split, they’ve both been trying to spend extra quality time with their kids amid the drama.
In fact, just one week before Baumgartner’s Hawaiian getaway, Costner took their children on a vacation to British Columbia, Canada.
Due to the “pre-planned” trip, the actor had to miss a scheduled court date to discuss their divorce proceedings.

Yet once the “Bodyguard” star returned home, it was back to business.
Just one day later, Costner accused his soon-to-be ex-wife of trying to rob him blind.
In court documents obtained by TheFantasyTimes, he claimed the former model had “shown a disturbing propensity in the last several months, both before and after separation, to take [Kevin’s] property without his knowledge or consent, especially since this case was filed.”

He also accused Baumgartner of refusing to sign an agreement stating that she would not ransack their $145 million home before moving out.
While Baumgartner insisted that she wouldn’t “strip the house bare,” a judge ruled that she must have a discussion with the “Field of Dreams” star before taking any property from their Santa Barbara, Calif., estate.
The former designer filed for divorce from the actor in May after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” They both filed for joint custody of their children.
