Kim Zolciak’s divorce drama will make ‘great TV’ amid ‘RHOA’ return
NeNe Leakes believes that Kim Zolciak’s divorce drama will be captivating television, especially as Zolciak returns to “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
However, Leakes doesn’t think that Zolciak announced her divorce from Kroy Biermann, only to call it off, as a scheme to get back on the Bravo show.
“It makes for great TV, but personally, I wouldn’t pretend to have issues with my husband just to return to television. So hopefully, that’s not what she’s doing,” said Leakes, 55, in an interview with TMZ in Los Angeles.
“Regardless of whether she did that or not, I’m sure she’ll be allowed to come back on the show. They’ll probably invite her back multiple times,” she added.

Leakes’ comments come shortly after Zolciak, 45, and Biermann, 37, both filed to dismiss their divorce requests, despite publicly criticizing each other in court documents months prior.
Leakes, who had reached out to Zolciak during her separation from the retired NFL star, expressed her desire for the couple to reconcile for good.
“Marriage has its ups and downs, so hopefully they can work things out. They have a family,” said the former owner of SWAGG Boutique.

Leakes also described the couple’s marital drama as “messy” and drew parallels to her own turbulent friendship with Zolciak over the years.
The feud between Leakes and Zolciak was well-documented on the early seasons of “RHOA” but reached its peak in April 2022 when Leakes sued the show’s production companies, accusing them of tolerating Zolciak’s racially-insensitive and inappropriate behavior.
Leakes dropped the lawsuit four months later and appears to have reconciled with Zolciak, who left the show in 2012.

However, the reality star doesn’t believe her friend-turned-foe announced her divorce from Kroy Biermann — and promptly called it off — all as a ploy to get back on the Bravo show.
“It makes great TV but I wouldn’t personally want to act like I’m having some issue with my husband just to get back on TV. So hopefully that’s not what it is,” Leakes, 55, told TMZ Saturday in Los Angeles.
“I’m sure she’ll get back on the show whether she did that or not. I’m sure they will allow her to come back over and over again.”

The comment from Leakes comes just a few weeks after Zolciak, 45, and Biermann, 37, both filed to dismiss their marriage dissolution requests – despite publicly bashing each other in court documents months prior.
Leakes, who previously revealed she reached out to Zolciak amid her split from the retired NFL star, said she “hopes” the couple can reconcile for good.
“It’s a marriage so you have a lot of highs and lows. Hopefully they’re gonna work it out, they have a family,” the former SWAGG Boutique owner said.

Leakes added that the marital drama “was kinda messy,” however, noting that them “suddenly” being back on good terms felt a lot like her own tumultuous friendship with Zolciak through the years.
Leakes and Zolciak’s feud was documented on the early seasons of “RHOA” but came to a head in April 2022 after Leakes sued the reality show’s production companies over allegations that they “tolerated — if not encouraged” Zolciak’s “racially-insensitive and inappropriate behavior.”
Leakes dropped the lawsuit four months after it was filed. She appears to be on better terms with Zolciak, who departed the hit show in 2012.

Earlier this week, Leakes revealed the “Don’t Be Tardy” alum reached out to her when her late husband, Gregg, died in 2021. She decided to return the favor when she head about Zolciak’s split news.
“I don’t know how she’s doing overall. I just reached out to her because she reached out to me during the time when I was really going through something,” Leakes told TMZ.
As previously reported, Zolciak and Biermann filed for divorce in May after 11 years of marriage.

She promptly began slinging allegations at her then-estranged husband, including claims that he had substance abuse issues.
Biermann retaliated, claiming his wife had a crippling gambling addiction that left their family in financial ruin.
After two months spent leveling extreme accusations against the other, they were photographed taking their four biological children to a church service earlier this month.

They called off their divorce shortly afterward.
“They’ve been working on things,” a source told TheFantasyTimes at the time, alleging that “they’ve been talking more lately and getting along, so she decided to call it off.”
The couple share Kroy Jr., 12, Kash, 10, and twins Kaia and Kane, 9, along with Zolciak’s daughters from previous relationships — Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21 — whom Biermann adopted.
