Kyle Richards hasn’t texted after ‘lesbian on Ozempic’ joke

Jeff Lewis is anxiously waiting for a response from Kyle Richards after he made a joke about her being a “lesbian on Ozempic.” In an interview with TMZ, the real estate speculator revealed that he sent a text to his friend, Richards, at 6:30 in the morning following his appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” the previous night. However, he has yet to hear back from her, leaving him concerned. When asked if Richards is upset with him, Lewis expressed uncertainty and stated that he hopes she isn’t. He clarified that Richards is a friend of his and that he was simply joking when he mentioned her on the show. Lewis wanted to highlight the absurdity of the rumors circulating about Richards’ sexuality and her use of the drug Ozempic. He made it clear that his intention was purely to make a joke. Lewis emphasized that his comment on “Watch What Happens Live” was meant to be lighthearted, even though he was poking fun at the rumors. Despite this, Richards has not responded to his text. During the show, host Andy Cohen asked Lewis for his thoughts on Richards, and Lewis sarcastically remarked that he was “pissed” at her. He joked about Richards being a lesbian on Ozempic, which received laughter from the audience and Cohen. Lewis’ fellow guest, Heather McDonald, also joined in the fun by joking about Richards dating country singer Morgan Wade and using the diabetes drug. Lewis expressed his hope that his friend is not upset with him. The comedian playfully asked viewers if they were aware that one of the side effects of Ozempic is lesbianism, which prompted Lewis to respond with humor, saying he could become “even gayer” on the drug. Richards has faced accusations about her love life and weight loss throughout the year, but she has consistently denied them. She recently stated that she has too much anxiety to try semaglutide, the main ingredient in Ozempic, despite other reality TV stars admitting to using it. Richards attributed her weight loss to her personal trainer, Cory Gregory, who also trains Wade. The actress has been friends with the songwriter since 2022 and clarified last month that they are only good friends following her separation from husband Mauricio Umansky. However, their friendship made headlines when it was revealed that Richards would star as the love interest in Wade’s upcoming music video for “Fall in Love With Me.” Richards addressed the speculation by stating that if people are going to talk, she might as well give them something to talk about. Wade added that they wanted to playfully respond to the trolls by featuring Richards in the video. The fallout from Richards and Umansky’s separation will be featured on “RHOBH” as the cameras captured the drama.

Jeff Lewis is waiting for a text back from Kyle Richards after his “lesbian on Ozempic” joke.

The “Flipping Out” alum told TMZ Wednesday that he texted his “Housewife” pal at 6:30 that morning following his “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” appearance Tuesday night.

“I’ve yet to hear back,” the real estate speculator, 53, admitted with a worried expression.

When asked whether the “Real Housewife of Beverly Hills” star is “upset” with him,” Lewis replied, “I don’t know. I hope not.”

The interior designer clarified that Richards is a “friend” of his, and he was “totally joking” when he spoke about her on “WWHL.”

He explained, “I was poking fun at the absurdity of all the rumors going around that she’s a lesbian and she’s on Ozempic. I simply meant it as a joke.”

During Tuesday’s show, Andy Cohen asked Lewis for his thoughts on Richards — and the “Jeff Lewis Live” host sarcastically said he was “pissed” at the “Little House on the Prairie” alum.

“Kyle and I are friends, and … she didn’t tell me she’s a lesbian on Ozempic,” he joked.

As the audience laughed and Cohen, 55, cracked up behind his cue cards, Lewis’ fellow guest, Heather McDonald, also poked fun at rumors that Richards is dating country singer Morgan Wade and using the diabetes drug.

“Did you guys know that one of the side effects of Ozempic is lesbianism?” the comedian, 53, asked viewers. “Your ring falls off because you’re so thin, and then your ring slips into someone else.”

Laughing, Lewis replied, “Oh, so I could get even gayer on Ozempic.”

Richards, 54, has clapped back at accusations about her love life and her weight loss multiple times this year, most recently telling TheFantasyTimes that she has too much “terrible anxiety” to try semaglutide — even as other Bravolebrities admit to it.

“I can say that I have never tried it and I have never taken it,” she claimed in May. “I’m not on any weight loss drug. … That would scare me to death.”

At the time, she credited her personal trainer, Cory Gregory, instead. He also trains Wade.

Richards has been friends with the 28-year-old songwriter since 2022, clarifying last month that they are only “very good friends” following her and husband Mauricio Umansky’s split.

Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’

However, the duo made headlines on Friday when news broke that Richards will star in Wade’s “Fall in Love With Me” music video amid romance speculation.

“If they’re gonna talk, you might as well give them something to talk about,” the actress said via Instagram of playing the “Wilder Days” crooner’s love interest in the video, out Thursday.

Wade chimed in, “We thought it would be a good idea kind of to … troll the trolls a little bit.”

Richards and Umansky, 53, were married for 27 years before separating in July. Their relationship’s fallout will appear on “RHOBH” as cameras picked back up during the drama.
