Lala Kent responds to criticism for posting thirst trap alongside pic of daughter
Lala Kent refuses to let the judgmental mothers bring her down.
The star of “Vanderpump Rules” fired back at haters after receiving criticism for posting a provocative photo alongside a picture of her daughter over the weekend.
“I’m tired of the mom shaming from some of you women. I’m a parent, I work full time, and I rarely have a moment to myself. For just one second on the 4th of July, I felt confident and wanted to take a picture,” she expressed in an Instagram Story on Thursday.
“I don’t want to hear anything negative. If you have something bad to say, keep it to yourself. Leave me alone.”
The host of the “Give Them Lala” podcast then clarified that “the kids weren’t present when I took this photo. And even if they were, we all have buttocks. Take a moment to appreciate yours.”
During the weekend, the blonde beauty shared an Instagram carousel featuring a photo of her daughter, Ocean, and Scheana Shay’s daughter, Summer, over the Fourth of July weekend.
She captioned the post, “Now it’s mom’s turn,” as the second picture showed her posing in a thong swimsuit with her hands on her buttocks.

However, fans were not pleased with the post. One person commented, “Now it’s mom’s turn? That’s just strange.”
“Exposing yourself for the children. What a great role model,” another critic added.
“What is this,” a third person questioned.
However, not everyone found the provocative picture offensive and came to Kent’s defense.
“Stop being so judgmental,” one fan wrote. “She’s an amazing mother. The only people sexualizing this are the ones who think they’re fighting against it.”
A second person added, “I admire a mother who can embrace her sexuality while still being a mom. Some people believe those things can coexist.”
