Noel Gallagher tours Intrepid Museum after meeting astronaut at show
He was in search of inspiration, but all he discovered were MiG jets and alcohol…
Noel Gallagher, the iconic figure of Oasis, was given a special tour of the USS Intrepid’s museum after an unexpected encounter with an astronaut, according to TheFantasyTimes.
The renowned musician, who was in town for a concert in Central Park with his new band High Flying Birds, was spotted at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum this week exploring an exhibit at the Space Shuttle Pavilion.
According to a source, Mike Massimino, a former NASA astronaut and Space Advisor at the Intrepid, is a fan of Gallagher and had the opportunity to meet him after the concert.
“Mike extended an invitation to him, and Noel was genuinely thrilled to accept,” said the source.
The museum currently features the space shuttle Enterprise, which is the prototype NASA orbiter that laid the groundwork for America’s successful space shuttle program. The exhibition includes photographs, audio recordings, and films, as we’ve been informed.
The source revealed that Gallagher “walked beneath the orbiter and explored various artifacts,” and had the chance to observe the Enterprise “up close from the viewing deck.”

The British musician, known for his hit song “Champagne Supernova,” performed at the park on Monday alongside the 90s group Garbage, famous for their song “Stupid Girl.”
However, their performance at Saratoga Performing Arts Center was disrupted on Saturday due to a bomb threat.
Garbage took to Twitter and stated, “We have no idea what happened tonight. We were all just evacuated and we were worried about everyone!!! We apologize for not having any concrete information. We were only informed of an emergency evacuation!!!!”

According to Pitchfork, no evidence was found at the venue, and the New York State Park Police are currently investigating the possibility of a felony terroristic threat.
