Therefore, when Starbreeze Studios announced the release date of Payday 3, gamers worldwide were thrilled. On June 5, the official Payday Youtube channel released a new Payday 3 Developer Diary, providing insights into the game’s combat and the various changes and additions it will bring to the title. According to the developer diary, Payday 3 will not segregate enemies based on difficulty. Instead, the developer intends to scale damage, accuracy, and enemy numbers when playing on higher difficulties, allowing all players to encounter the same foes and experience the game’s dynamic nature. Special enemies have also undergone modifications, as developers have introduced new behaviors for all of them, making them even more formidable adversaries in matches. This change represents a significant improvement over Payday 2 since some enemies did not appear in easier heists in the previous game.

The developers of Payday 3 have also discussed the game’s movement and armor system. As per their statements, movement speed will be influenced by the total weight of the player, requiring gamers to carefully consider their movement options when equipping heavy equipment and armor. Conversely, armor will be divided into smaller sections and will not regenerate if any of these sections are destroyed. To restore armor, players will utilize an armor bag, similar to the medic and ammo bags in Payday 2. In Payday 3, the regeneration of health and armor will not be possible, rendering Payday 2‘s overpowered builds less effective in this game.

Weapons and modifications will also undergo changes in Payday 3, as developers will allow players to level up their weapons by using them in heists and unlocking new mods. In Payday 3, players must learn the recoil pattern of their weapons, which will possess some degree of randomness. However, players must master this pattern to effectively utilize each weapon. Overall, fans must adapt to more than just a change in scenery in Payday 3, as the game’s developer is implementing numerous additions to enhance the gameplay. With this in mind, veterans of Payday 2 must stay informed about upcoming updates to adequately prepare themselves for the release of Payday 3.

Payday 3 is scheduled to launch on September 21 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
