PS Plus is Losing 10 Games in July 2023
Members in the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus will soon lose access to a variety of games as 10 titles are set to depart from the service in July 2023. Sony regularly adds new games to the catalog available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, allowing them to play new titles every month.
Sony also removes games from the Extra and Premium tiers, as 16 games left PlayStation Plus in June 2023 including Red Faction 2, Agents of Mayhem, John Wick Hex, Black Mirror, and more. Fans do not retain access to games that leave the Extra and Premium categories, so users wanting to play these titles have to purchase them once they are removed. Now, Sony has updated the list of games leaving PlayStation Plus in July 2023.
According to Push Square, 10 games will depart from the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus when the catalog updates in July 2023. This includes Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, Stray, Marvel\’s Avengers, Fluster Cluck, Raiden 5: Director\’s Cut, Rogue Stormers, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, as well as the remastered versions of BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite. Some of these titles will be removed from PS Plus Extra, while others will be taken off from PS Plus Premium.

Even though only 10 games are leaving PS Plus, the full lineup consists of some notable titles. Stray came out as a day one PS Plus Extra release, and it ended up being one of the most popular games on the service. Additionally, the BioShock games launched to critical acclaim, with BioShock and BioShock Infinite having a score of 96 and 94 respectively on Metacritic.
Regardless, this total is a lot smaller than the number of games that left PS Plus in May, as users lost access to a ton of titles during that period. Over 30 games left PlayStation Plus in May 2023 including Marvel’s Spider-Man, Metro: Last Light Redux, Dreamfall Chaptersand Resident Evil.
Sony is yet to announce the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineups for July 2023, and it’ll be interesting to see what games are added to the service to replace these 10 titles. Sony added 29 new games to PS Plus Extra and Premium in June 2023, with some noteworthy titles joining the service this month. Extra members can now play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Far Cry 6, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Thiefand more, while Premium subscribers can also try out Killzone: Liberation and Worms among others.
