Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are commemorating their first anniversary as husband and wife with heartfelt messages on their Instagram accounts. The wedding was attended by several of Hyland’s co-stars from “Modern Family,” including Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who officiated the ceremony. Influencer and actress Ciara Robinson served as the maid of honor, while Vanessa Hudgens and musician GG Magree were among the bridesmaids. Sarah Hyland looked stunning in two wedding dresses designed by Vera Wang, and her timeless bridal look was created by celebrity makeup artist Denika Bedrossian in collaboration with Charlotte Tilbury.
The proposal took place in July 2019, after almost two years of dating. Originally scheduled for August 2020, their wedding had to be postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wells Adams jokingly mentioned that they would have gone to Vegas or the courthouse if their 2022 nuptials didn’t work out, expressing their hope that 2022 would be their year.

“We were supposed to get married obviously last year, that didn’t happen,” Adams told People in 2021. “We were supposed to get married this year, that didn’t happen.”
Joking that they were “gonna go to Vegas, or the courthouse” if their 2022 nuptials didn’t pan out, he said at the time, “2022 has got to be our year, right?!”
