See the aftermath of Rosanna Arquette’s crash into a Malibu shopping center
Newly released photos and video of the car crash involving actress Rosanna Arquette in Malibu reveal the extent of the damage caused to a local Mexican restaurant.
The incident occurred when the “Desperately Seeking Susan” actress lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a shopping center in Malibu, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
While Arquette, who is 63 years old, walked away unharmed, the same cannot be said for Lily’s Malibu, a restaurant located in the Point Dume Village.
Footage from the scene shows Arquette’s BMW colliding with a pillar of the restaurant, which had to be evacuated following the accident.
It appears that the “Nowhere to Run” star also damaged two additional support beams that were holding up the building’s roof.

In addition to the collision with the restaurant, Arquette’s car also crashed through a glass barrier that separated the shops from the parking lot, resulting in debris and shattered glass scattered throughout the courtyard.
The right side of Arquette’s car sustained severe damage in the crash, which authorities believe occurred when she mistakenly drove forward instead of reversing out of her parking spot.
Despite the accident occurring near the restaurant’s outdoor seating area, no one was harmed.

Captain Mike Rivera of Los Angeles Fire Station 71 told “The Malibu Times” that Arquette was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but she did not appear to have any injuries.
“She was a little shaken up about what happened,” he said.
Nearby shops had to be closed temporarily while officials ensured that the building would not collapse as a result of the crash, according to the local newspaper.

Although the accident took place right next to the restaurant’s outside seating area, no one was injured.

Los Angeles Fire Station 71 Captain Mike Rivera told “The Malibu Times” that Arquette was taken to the hospital out of precaution but that she didn’t appear to sustain any injuries.
“She was a little shook up about what happened,” he told the outlet.
Shops nearby had to be closed as officials waited to make sure the entire building didn’t “collapse” due to the crash, according to the newspaper.

Officials also confirmed to the New York Post that there was no indication of impairment due to drugs or alcohol.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time the “Pulp Fiction” star has been involved in a car crash in recent years.
In May 2022, Arquette totaled her Tesla after ramming into the back of a UPS truck while at the Palisades Village shopping center in Los Angeles.
Thankfully, no one suffered any serious injuries in that crash either.
