The movie is an explosive, fun, and over-the-top action-thriller with badass women. The cast expressed how empowered they felt by kicking butt and being beautiful in the movie. Isabelle Fuhrman, known for her work in the Orphan franchise, Masters of Sex, and The Hunger Games, spoke with MovieWeb about Sheroes and how liberating it was to let loose:
\”It was really fun to film that scene and do something like that. I’ve never been the hot girl in a movie. And I was like, ‘Why don’t I get to be like a hot girl in this movie? This is cool.’ And I really just felt like I was pinching myself. I feel like Skai, Wallis, and Sasha are just so much cooler than I am in real life. And I was very honored, and it made me realize, like, I’m pretty cool too!\”
Sheroes was filmed in Bangkok and Phuket, making the location just as stunning as the actors in it. Thailand has an electric energy, and the movie captures it with its adrenaline-fueled, bombastic aesthetic. It is also a lot of fun; between a great dance scene and a surprising reference to Liam Neeson in Taken, the movie does not take itself too seriously and embraces its craziness.
