Selena Gomez, Francia Raísa squash feud rumors with night out
Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa have put to rest any rumors of a feud by spending a night out together in Santa Monica, California. The singer and actress were seen leaving the popular restaurant Giorgio Baldi after enjoying a meal. Gomez, 31, led the way as they exited the Italian eatery, with paparazzi capturing pictures of the duo. Gomez looked stunning in a black long-sleeve dress and leopard-print slingback heels, complemented by a slick low bun and red lipstick. Raísa, 35, rocked green leather shorts and a tan silk tank top, paired with leopard-print heels.
Following their outing, Raísa took to Instagram to address any speculation and clarify that everything is fine between her and Gomez. She wrote, “No beef, just salsa,” and mentioned that their matching shoes were not planned. This surprise get-together comes after months of rumors suggesting a feud between the two women. Last November, Gomez stated that Taylor Swift was her only friend in the entertainment industry, despite Raísa donating a kidney to her in 2017 during her battle with lupus.
Raísa’s response to Gomez’s comment seemed to indicate some tension, as she wrote “interesting” under a social media post highlighting Gomez’s quote and unfollowed her on Instagram. While Raísa has remained silent on the brewing tension, her father, Renán Almendárez Coello, publicly revealed that there was an issue between the two actresses. He claimed in an interview that Raísa confronted Gomez because she continued to drink alcohol after the kidney transplant.
Despite the drama, Gomez referred to Raísa as her “best friend” in an interview earlier this year. She also expressed her gratitude towards Raísa for her selflessness in donating a kidney, stating that she will never be more in debt to anyone. Last month, Gomez sent a heartfelt birthday message to Raísa on Instagram, sharing throwback photos and expressing her love for her.
In summary, Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa have squashed feud rumors by enjoying a night out together. They made a stylish exit from Giorgio Baldi, with Gomez in a black dress and Raísa in green leather shorts. Raísa took to Instagram to clarify that there is no bad blood between them, and their matching shoes were a coincidence. Although there have been past tensions, Gomez has referred to Raísa as her best friend and expressed her gratitude for the kidney donation.
They just wanna be friends.
Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa shut down feud rumors by getting together for a night out in Santa Monica, Calif., on Friday.
The “Calm Down” singer and “Grown-ish” alum were spotted leaving celeb hotspot Giorgio Baldi after grabbing a bite to eat.
Gomez, 31, led the way as the pair left the Italian restaurant and paparazzi snapped pictures.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star wore a black long-sleeve dress and leopard-print slingback heels. She completed her look with a red lipstick and her hair in a slick low bun.
Meanwhile, Raísa, 35, rocked a pair of green leather shorts and a tan silk tank top. She also opted to wear leopard-print heels for the girls’ night out.
After the get-together, the “Bring It On: All or Nothing” star took to Instagram to clarify that all is well between her and Gomez.

“No beef, just salsa,” she wrote, adding that their matching shoes were “not planned.”
The surprise outing comes months after the women were rumored to be feuding with one another.
Last November, Gomez shared that Taylor Swift was her only friend in the entertainment industry — even though Raísa donated a kidney to her in 2017 amid the “Come & Get It” singer’s battle with lupus.

“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities,” she told Rolling Stone at the time. “My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong.”

The “How I Met Your Father” actress seemingly had an issue with the “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum’s comment, even writing “interesting” under a social media post highlighting Gomez’s quote.
She also unfollowed the Rare Beauty founder on Instagram.

Since then, Raísa has kept mum about brewing tension between her and Gomez, even dodging questions about why she unfollowed her former bestie.
However, her father, Renán Almendárez Coello, had no problem telling the world that there was an issue between two actresses.
He alleged in a resurfaced interview that Raísa had confronted Gomez because the latter didn’t stop drinking after the kidney transplant.
“Love, money and fame changes the whole world, including Selena,” he said on “Primer Impacto” last November.

“There’s a difference when Selena is drinking. Francia told Selena that she didn’t give her the kidney so she could go out and drink,” Coello added.
Meanwhile, Gomez has seemingly tried to maintain the peace between herself and the “Life-Size 2” star.
In March, the “Hotel Transylvania” voice actress called Raísa her “best friend” during an interview for Apple TV+’s “Dear…”

“I will never, ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia,” Gomez shared at the time. “The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming.”
Last month, the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer sent a special 35th birthday shout-out to Raísa on Instagram.
Gomez wrote alongside throwback photos of the pair in July, “Happiest of birthdays to this special human beings. No matter where life takes us, I love you. ❤️.”
