Throughout Link’s epic journey, he will stumble upon numerous pieces of armor, each with unique abilities and benefits. Some armor sets bolster his attack power, while others enhance his defense or protect him from extreme weather conditions. One such armor set, the Charged Set, offers an intriguing ability that can greatly aid adventurers like Link. However, obtaining this set requires progress in the game. Read on to find out where to find each piece and how the set enhances Link’s abilities.

Update: As Tears of the Kingdom unfolds, more guides have emerged to assist players in unraveling the game’s secrets. This update includes additional information regarding the set’s enhancement and design, providing players with a more comprehensive understanding of its capabilities.

The Charged Set originates from a quest centered around the Ring Ruins in Kakariko Village. However, this quest only becomes available after completing the four Temples and encountering the formidable Phantom Ganon. Gaining access to the Ring Ruins requires progressing through the quest to find the Fifth Sage. The set itself provides a base defense of 9, with each individual piece offering a defense of 3. When worn as a complete set, it boosts Link’s attack power during stormy weather. Considering the challenges faced after obtaining this set, it becomes indispensable for any adventurer exploring the Thunderhead Isles, a perpetually stormy region. The unique design of the Charged Set has prompted many players to notice its resemblance to Farosh, the Lightning Dragon.

To enhance the Charged Set, players can invest Rupees and gather specific materials. The enhancement levels and requirements are as follows:

– Base Level: Defense – 3, Set Defense – 9.
– ★ Level: Defense – 5, Set Defense – 15, Cost – 10 Rupees, Materials – 5 Electric Lizalfos Horns, 3 Thunderwing Butterflies.
– ★★ Level: Defense – 8, Set Defense – 24, Cost – 50 Rupees, Materials – 5 Electric Darners, 3 Large Zonai Charges, 5 Shock Like Stones.
– ★★★ Level: Defense – 12, Set Defense – 36, Cost – 200 Rupees, Materials – 5 Electric Darners, 3 Large Zonai Charges, 10 Voltfin Trouts.
– ★★★★ Level: Defense – 20, Set Defense – 60, Cost – 500 Rupees, Materials – 5 Gleeok Thunder Horns, 5 Large Zonai Charges, 10 Voltfin Trouts.

To embark on the quest to obtain the Charged Set, players must first initiate a specific quest called “Secret of the Ring Ruins.” After confronting Phantom Ganon and realizing the need for another Sage, players must visit the Zonai ruins in search of the missing Sage. Visiting the Ring Ruins in Kakariko Village at this point will trigger the quest. Approach Paya and Tauro to initiate a conversation and begin the quest.

Once the quest starts, players must find a way to decipher a stone slab within the floating section of the Ring Ruins. Simply climb up to the area and utilize the Ascend Ability to access the small chamber. Inside, you will find the stone slab that needs to be photographed and shown to Tauro and Paya. After completing this task, ascend to the top of the Ring Ruins and speak to them again. They will read the inscription and realize that they must head to the Zonai ruins in Faron. Tauro and his partner will rush off, leaving you to catch up. Fast travel to the Skyview Tower, where the quest marker is located, and reunite with them. From there, they will guide you to Dracozu Lake, where the Charged armor set awaits.

Upon reaching Dracozu Lake, a small campfire will come into view. On the opposite side of the water, an entrance can be found. Enter the ruins through this entrance to encounter Tauro, who discovered a chest while exploring the ancient ruins. Inside the chest lies the first piece of the Charged Set, the Charged Shirt.

To find the next piece, exit the ruins and cross the bridge. To your left, you will spot another bridge that must also be crossed. After traversing the second bridge, continue following the lakeshore. Before long, you will encounter another ruins entrance. Across from it, a Yellow Chuchu awaits. Eliminate the Chuchu and enter the ruins. Inside, a chest located in the rear center of the room contains the Charged Trousers.

Exit the previous ruins and resume following the lakeshore. Pass the location where you defeated the Yellow Chuchu and continue along the lake’s edge. As you round the bend, yet another ruins entrance will come into view, resembling the previous two. Enter these ruins to discover the final chest, which holds the Charged Headdress.

Congratulations! You have now obtained the complete Charged Set, and you are ready to embark on the quest to find the final Sage.
