The 7 Best XP Farm Locations in Diablo 4

Diablo IV offers players a plethora of opportunities to level up their characters by earning a vast amount of XP. However, players can optimize their XP farming by venturing into specific dungeon locations. The ideal dungeons are those that not only have enemies lurking around every corner but are also not too tedious to repeat multiple times. The best dungeons are packed with Elite enemies, Bosses, and other challenges that provide players with tons of XP.

As players progress through higher World Tiers of difficulty, some dungeons can be transformed into Nightmare Dungeons that offer better loot and XP rewards. To unlock this feature, players will need to complete missions for the Tree of Whispers to obtain Nightmare Sigils to modify existing dungeons. Many of the locations used to farm XP before are even more attractive as Nightmare Dungeons, so players should consider reaching World Tier 3.

Here are the top 7 locations to farm XP in Diablo IV:

7. Iron Hold
Located north of The Ruins of Rakhat Keep in Hawezar, Iron Hold is a fortress that is chock-full of Elite enemies. Players can take down many Demons here repeatedly for plenty of loot and an excellent Aspect for the Necromancer class. This dungeon has two floors, providing players with more enemies to fight for larger amounts of XP.

6. Ruins of Eridu
West from Vyeresz in Hawezar, the Ruins of Eridu are one of the best dungeons for loot in Diablo IV, making it a great place to farm XP. The dungeon is massive and full of the largest enemy hordes, besides Strongholds or World Events. While it may seem tedious to repeat, players have reported earning up to 15-20 million XP by spending over an hour fighting Hell’s armies inside the Ruins.

5. Charnel House
South of Ked Bardu, in the Untamed Scraps of the Dry Steppes, the Charnel House is an ideal dungeon for players looking for a more manageable challenge. With only a mini-boss inside, players can typically clear this dungeon quickly. However, it makes an excellent place to farm XP as the location resets, offering players a consistent area to return to for a decent chunk of experience without too much effort.

4. Calibel’s Mine
Northeast of Marowen in Scosglen, Calibel’s Mine is a straightforward dungeon that gives players a bit of everything when searching for places to earn lots of experience. Many evil spirits haunt this place, including a powerful Elite enemy called Killian Rex, who gives a large amount of XP when defeated. Players then have to travel all around this smaller dungeon for the Ancient’s Statue and return it to its pedestal before traveling to the boss room in the area. The boss here, Resurrected Malice, poses a manageable challenge to players at the end of the dungeon.

3. Uldur’s Cave
West of Caldeum in Kehjistan, Uldur’s Cave is an excellent location for those looking for a simple place to complete. The Cave is almost a straight line, with no twisting or winding paths, and features hordes of basic and Elite enemies in large numbers, which form the bulk of the experience gained here.

2. Blind Burrows
In the Western Fethis Wetlands of Hawezar, Blind Burrows have the most enemies in a place with extremely tight spaces and hallways for players to navigate. For those with strong Crowd Control Skills and abilities, this is a goldmine for experience, as the spiders here can be taken down almost instantly for large XP bonuses. The boss fight against The Broodguard at the end can be tough, but players can avoid facing this enemy. Instead of traveling to the end of the dungeon, players should leave the area before clearing the Blind Burrows to reset the enemies inside, creating a strange spider XP farm in Diablo IV that can boost a character’s level more than once.

1. Champion’s Demise
In the Eastern Untamed Scarps of the Dry Steppes, the Champion’s Demise offers everything that makes a good XP farm and more through a unique area design. This “dungeon” has a map consisting of several open fields that players can travel between, almost like the overworld map of Sanctuary in Diablo IV. The extra space gives players better ways to engage enemies instead of the cramped space in the narrow ruins and caves of other locations. In addition, Champion’s Demise has three powerful Elite enemies and a boss, making it a dungeon populated with some of the best enemy types for XP farming. Mobile classes like the Rogue excel here, as they move between the large sections quickly to take down as many enemies as possible.
