When she’s not kissing on-screen in “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” Lola Tung is an expert at prepping her lips.
The 20-year-old actress, who plays Belly Conklin on the Prime Video series, revealed her makeup routine for achieving a “berry lip” look in Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” series. She highlighted Ilia’s Lip Wrap Reviving Balm ($24) as one of her essential products.
Tung praised the clean beauty balm for its cooling effect and hydration properties, making it easier to apply bold lip colors. The balm contains hyaluronic acid, pear oil, and lavender.
Tung is not the only celebrity fan of Ilia. Kristin Cavallari and Gwyneth Paltrow have also mentioned the Super Serum Skin Tint ($48), while Olivia Wilde loves the Limitless Lash Mascara ($28).

Tung is also a fan of Westman Atelier, a brand favored by Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson. She mentioned that the brand’s Skin Activator Serum ($150) “saves the day” when she has dry spots.
Tung started taking proper care of her skin during the filming of Season 1 of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” She emphasized her commitment to using skincare and makeup products that are cruelty-free.
Some of her skincare staples include the Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner ($14), Herbivore Pink Cloud Moisture Cream ($46), Cocokind Daily SPF ($25), and Live Tinted Rays Copper Eye Masks ($22).
Tung mentioned that she and her castmates frequently used Live Tinted Rays Copper Eye Masks on set, and she loved them so much that she bought them for her mom.
When it comes to makeup, Tung prefers a fresh-faced look that her character, Belly, would approve of. She incorporates affordable finds like Elf Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8), NYX Lip Gloss ($5), and NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel ($7).
Tung knows what she likes when it comes to beauty products, just like her character who is torn between boys.
