Zack Snyder, the filmmaker, gave a sneak peek into his forthcoming sci-fi project Rebel Moon at Netflix’s Tudum global fan event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Sunday.
Deborah Snyder, his wife, and actress Sofia Boutella joined the Man of Steel director to showcase the movie, which is set to debut on Netflix on December 22, 2021.
The story of Rebel Moon unfolds in a remote galaxy, where a peaceful colony faces a severe threat from the armies of a tyrannical ruling force. The town’s residents put their faith in Kora, a mysterious stranger living among them, for survival.
As per Netflix’s summary, Kora is handed the significant task of recruiting skilled fighters to join her in a seemingly impossible battle against the oppressive regime. She forms a diverse group of warriors made up of outsiders, rebels, commoners, and war orphans from different worlds, all united in their desire for redemption and revenge.
The cast of Rebel Moon includes Ed Skrein, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Staz Nair, and Anthony Hopkins.
Filmmaker Zack Snyder on Sunday shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his upcoming sci-fi project Rebel Moon at Netflix’s global fan event Tudum in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Joined by his wife Deborah Snyder and actress Sofia Boutella, the Man of Steel director offered a preview of the film, slated to premiere on Netflix on December 22 this year.
Rebel Moon takes place in a distant galaxy and follows a peaceful colony that faces a grave threat from the armies of a tyrannical ruling power. The village inhabitants pin their hopes for survival on Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among them.
According to Netflix’s description, Kora is entrusted with the crucial task of recruiting skilled fighters who will join her in a seemingly impossible battle against the oppressive regime. She forms a diverse group of warriors consisting of outsiders, rebels, commoners and war orphans from various worlds, united by the common desire for redemption and vengeance.
