Destiny 2 Update 7.1.0.3 Addresses Trials of Osiris, Exotic Fishing, and More

Bungie has recently launched a fresh patch for Destiny 2 that brings about numerous alterations to the rewards system in Trials of Osiris, enhancements to fishing activities, and a host of bug fixes. While this update may not be as monumental as previous patches, its primary objective is to enhance the overall stability and user-friendliness of the game, while also eliminating as many bugs as possible. Since the release of the Shadowkeep expansion in 2019, Bungie has successfully transformed Destiny 2 into one of the leading titles in the live-service genre, complete with annual expansions and quarterly seasonal updates. As live service games necessitate constant monitoring and adjustments, Bungie consistently provides regular patches and hotfixes to address peculiar issues and irksome bugs in Destiny 2. However, with the game’s exponential growth and the implementation of new systems and mechanics, the problems plaguing Destiny 2 have become increasingly intricate.

Bungie has now rolled out an official update to rectify various crucible-related problems, issues with commendations and endgame activities, and several other changes aimed at improving the player experience. The official patch notes for Update 7.1.0.3 indicate that the developers have enhanced matchmaking for Competitive Crucible matches at higher tiers. Additionally, the update resolves an issue where certain players were unable to access Trials of Osiris during the introductory quest, and it also fixes the drop rate of Adept weapons from a 7-win Flawless card. Furthermore, the update addresses a problem with catching the required Exotic Whispering Mothcarp fish for an upcoming Exotic Weapon quest in Destiny 2. The 7.1.0.3 update also introduces a much-needed spawn location change to the new Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, preventing players from respawning outside the playable zone during the final encounter. Several fixes have also been made to the commendation screen, as some players encountered difficulties accessing the page after using the Wish Wall in the Last Wish raid and completing Deep Dive activities. Other changes include fixes to the Titan Exotic Khepri’s Horn, ensuring that its returning wave now damages enemies correctly, as well as corrections to the perk description of the Warlock’s Exotic Cenotaph Mask. In terms of weapons, Sweet Business and Telesto projectiles will no longer pass through walls or other geometric objects to damage enemies, and the pattern for the Bump in the Night Rocket Launcher is no longer locked behind a seasonal entitlement. Most importantly, the patch addresses an issue with the Hollow Denial weapon that was causing sensitivity episodes for players with Semicircular Canal Dehiscence. This patch brings significant improvements to the player experience and the game’s stability. However, the work is far from over, as new issues, such as the bugged Warlock aspect in Destiny 2, continue to arise. Players can rest assured that Bungie will announce further updates in the future to address these issues.

– Crucible: Fixed an issue where the Powerlifter Triumph could be completed before gilding the Glorious Seal.
