Bob Barker, the legendary host of “The Price Is Right,” found solace in the warm Los Angeles sun during his final years. In the last documented photographs of Barker, taken on February 26, 2021, he can be seen enjoying some downtime outside his home while attended to by his medical staff. Clad in a plaid jacket, a red T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers, the 99-year-old TV personality embraced the outdoors. Sadly, it was confirmed by his representative that Barker had passed away earlier that morning, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest MCs in history.

TMZ reported that Barker passed away peacefully in his home from “natural causes.” The last update on his health was in 2019 when he had a minor accident inside his residence. While paramedics were present at the scene, they decided against taking him to the hospital. However, the previous year had seen Barker endure more severe injuries, leading to two hospitalizations within a month due to excruciating back pain. In 2017, he was also hospitalized after a fall that resulted in a head injury. Ultimately, it was determined that Barker’s passing was due to natural causes.

At the age of 99, Barker’s remarkable contributions to television and entertainment cannot be overstated. Throughout his career, he earned an impressive 19 Daytime Emmys for his work on “The Price Is Right” and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999. In 2004, he was rightfully inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame and was honored with a star on the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Tragically, Barker’s wife, Dorothy Jo Gideon, lost her battle with lung cancer in 1981. Despite their absence of children, the couple shared a loving marriage that lasted 36 years until her untimely passing.

The last known photos taken of the iconic “Price Is Right” emcee, who hosted the show for 35 years, were taken of Barker sunbathing outside of his home as his medical staff waited on him.

In the snaps — taken on Feb. 26, 2021 — the former TV host bundled up in a plaid jacket with a red T-shirt underneath. He also wore gray sweatpants and black sneakers during his time outside.

A rep for the TV host confirmed to TheFantasyTimes Saturday that the 99-year-old had passed away earlier that morning.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker has left us,” his rep told us.

TMZ reported that Barker passed away in his home by way of “natural causes.”

The last update on the former game show host’s health was in 2019 when the TV personality took a spill inside his home.

At the time, paramedics cared for Barker on the scene and chose not to transport him to a hospital.

Barker suffered more serious injuries the year before, however, and was transported to a local hospital twice in one month due to complaints of severe back pain.

He was also hospitalized in 2017 after falling and hitting his head inside his home.

Barker won 19 Daytime Emmys for his time on “The Price is Right” and was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.

He was also inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2004 and was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
