Kevin Hart lands in wheelchair after tearing lower abdomen, abductors
Kevin Hart has made a surprising revelation that he is currently using a wheelchair following an attempt to race former NFL running back Stevan Ridley. In an Instagram video, the “Jumanji” star shared the news, stating, “Guys, I blew all my stuff. Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn – I don’t even know what that is, but I tore ’em. … I can’t walk!” Hart, who is 44 years old, humorously blamed his predicament on his age, saying, “I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff … and I was told to sit my ass down.” He explained that his injuries resulted from a friendly “debate” with Ridley over their speed, which led to a 40-yard dash challenge. Unfortunately, the race did not go well for Hart, who now regrets not respecting his age. In a public service announcement, he urged fans over 40 to respect their age and assured them not to be alarmed if they see him in a wheelchair. Hart’s fellow celebrities, including Will Smith and Wanda Sykes, offered well wishes and lighthearted jokes in the comments. This incident follows Hart’s previous near-fatal car accident in 2019, where he suffered multiple spinal fractures and underwent extensive rehabilitation.
Kevin Hart revealed he’s in a wheelchair after trying to race former NFL running back Stevan Ridley.
“Guys, I blew all my s—t,” the “Jumanji” star announced in an Instagram video Wednesday.
“Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn — I don’t even know what that is, but I tore ’em. … I can’t walk!”
Hart, 44, rolled himself in the wheelchair for the camera while blaming his predicament on being over the age of 40.
“I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff … and I was told to sit my ass down,” he said.
The actor explained his injuries stemmed from a “debate” with the retired New England Patriots player, 34, over “who is faster.”

Hart challenged Ridley to a 40-yard dash, however the race ultimately went south for the “Me Time” star.
“What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing?” the comedian wondered. “Why did I even race? Stupidest s—t ever! Now I can’t walk…”
Hart also issued a public service announcement for fans over 40 to “respect their age” and to not be “alarmed” if they see him rolling around in the wheelchair.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40 is real,” he said. “Respect that age or that age will make you respect it.”

He also referred to himself as the “dumbest man alive” in his caption.

Several celebrities hopped into the “Night School” star’s comments with well wishes and a few jokes.
“If 44 is kicking yo ass..wait til you hit 55…you might just disintegrate. Get well dummy!” Wanda Skyes wrote.
“Getting older is REAL!! Heal Up, Kev!!” Will Smith chimed in.
“You gotta warm up for about 10 minutes big fella!😂,” singer Mario added.

Retired basketball player Matt Barnes put a fun spin on the actor’s circumstances, teasing that Hart should make the most out of his new wheels.
“😂😂😂 that was a hell of a day. You need to put some spinners on your wheelchair 😂💀,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, actor Melvin Gregg asked the million-dollar question: “But did you win?”

Hart’s latest injuries come nearly four years after he was involved in a near-fatal car accident in September 2019.
He fractured his spine in three places and was hospitalized for 10 days before being moved to a live-in rehab center for physical therapy.
The actor’s friend Jared Black was behind the wheel when the crash occurred.
