Ranking The Best Mythic Weapons In Fortnite

Mythics are rare items in Fortnite, many of which are crossover weapons that were only available for a limited time. However, Fortnite has created a few entirely unique Mythics in the past. These items are difficult to come across, and they don’t guarantee a player a victory, but they are great to find nonetheless. At worst, they are a brilliant nod to another property, and at best, they are deadly and unique weapons.

This list will rank the top ten Mythics in terms of usefulness and diversity. Being well-balanced is also an important factor to consider here.

10. Thunder Spears
Attack on Titan is the fourth anime to be introduced to Fortnite. This crossover introduced two new Mythics into the game, including the formidable Thunder Spear. It’s great when it comes to destroying buildings, but it is lackluster when it comes to defeating players. You do have eight chances to use this weapon before it disappears, but the damage and explosion radius is inefficient. The difficulty of getting into the right range to use it to best effect means that it’s ultimately quite impractical to wield.

9. Explosive Batarangs
There aren’t many DC crossover weapons in Fortnite, especially when compared to the large arsenal of Marvel abilities. Batman, however, is one of the most popular DC heroes, and the Batarang is one of the Caped Crusader’s most iconic tools, so it makes sense that this was among the first additions from the company. This iteration of the Batarang can be thrown, attach to walls, and explode when an enemy player gets near. It’s a solid crossover weapon that doesn’t feel too overpowered yet also feels useful enough to actually be a solid tactical option.

8. Iron Man’s Repulsors
This Mythic has two entirely different functions: It can be used to hover in the air, and it can shoot homing missiles. Both of these abilities individually are useful enough for it to be one of the top crossover weapons, so together they make for one of the best Mythics in the game. Being rather unusual, though, it can be rather niche.

7. The Infinity Gauntlet
One of the most beloved events from Fortnite Chapter 1 allowed players to pick up the Infinity Gauntlet to become Thanos. Only one player in a match could be the Mad Titan at any given time, and he certainly made it chaotic. Being Thanos gave players an extremely powerful attack, additional health, and a super jump. The Infinity Gauntlet was somewhat balanced, though, because players wielding it moved very slowly. If multiple players targeted Thanos at once, then, they could easily overwhelm him. In one-on-ones, though, his opponent was in a terrifying situation indeed.

6. Deku’s Smash
My Hero Academia’s cast wields many powerful superhero moves. This Mythic harnesses the power of Deku’s Smash attack. It is a great offensive tool, as it deals enough damage to one-shot most opponents. The blast radius is also very big. Deku’s Smash can easily knock down medium-sized buildings, while simultaneously eliminating everyone inside. The biggest downside of this move is that it takes a very long time to charge the attack. Enemy players have plenty of opportunity to eliminate you before the attack even launches. Deku’s Smash can be especially useful in the 50v50 mode, where it can easily eliminate entire armies of opponents near the end of the match, but it’s crucial that the user picks the right time to use it.

5. Infinity Blade
Infinity Blade was a 2010 mobile game that saw moderate success, but is quite an odd choice for a crossover. This sword is devastatingly powerful and was a particular menace when it first released in Fortnite Chapter 1. There were very few ways to counter a weapon that gives the player a speed boost and heals the wielder every time they eliminate an opponent with it. The trouble with using it, however, is that it takes up all five inventory slots. It’s arguable that you didn’t really need any other item in your inventory once taking hold of this mighty sword, but it’s vital to bear this heavy restriction in mind.

4. Lightsabers
While they may not be as powerful as the Infinity Blade was, Lightsabers are far more iconic and balanced. Star Wars has always been one of the most popular sci-fi franchises. Lightsabers are a staple of the Jedi, and are a perfect inclusion to the game since there are many Star Wars skins available in Fortnite. Lightsabers come in a variety of colors, both in the original source material and Fortnite itself. The Lightsaber used to allow players to perform a midair dodge jump, but this was patched out. It’s still capable of dodging on the ground, blocking projectiles, and, of course, dealing significant damage to enemies. One of the best-designed Mythics.

3. Cloud Nimbus
Nimbus is a cloud from Dragon Ball that only allows those with pure spirits to ride it. Goku uses it many times in the original series, before he eventually learned how to fly. While it may have become irrelevant in its home series over time, it has found use once more in the world of Fortnite. Anyone who obtains Nimbus in Fortnite can use it to quickly leap high into the air and float down as if on a glider. It’s a great tool for getting around the map quickly, climbing up tall surfaces, and dodging attacks. It also combos well with a few other Mythics on this list, since you can immediately use them after soaring aloft with this item. You won’t even take fall damage after choosing to use a different item midair. It’s not a damage-dealer in and of itself, however.

2. Kamehameha
No anime attack is more widely known than the Kamehameha. It works in Fortnite exactly like it does in Dragon Ball: Players will briefly charge their attack before unleashing a powerful beam that breaks down walls and deals enough damage to defeat most players hit by it. It’s not as overpowered as Deku’s Smash, but being more balanced is a good thing. It’s overall more practical to use than the My Hero Academia technique. Fortunately for Dragon Ball fans, Kamehameha and Nimbus make for an excellent pair, too. Flying high and shooting down large energy beams is very satisfying and effective.

1. ODM Gear
Fortnite has featured many kinds of grappling hook items. There are even a few other crossovers that give wielders the ability to swing around, such as Spider-Man’s webs. What makes the ODM Gear special among all these options is that it has extra functionality. You could just use it to swing around the island to your heart’s content (taking as many twists and turns as the final season of Attack on Titan itself did), but it’s also quite effective in combat, as it boasts a melee sword swing that can lock onto opponents from afar. Even if targets try to get away using quick movement options, the ODM Gear will give chase automatically. Offensively and defensively, this Attack on Titan staple can prove invaluable.

In conclusion, these top ten Mythics in Fortnite are all unique and powerful in their own ways. From the Thunder Spear to the ODM Gear, they offer players a variety of tools to use and strategies to employ. Whether you’re a fan of anime or sci-fi, there is a Mythic for everyone.

Mythics are extremely rare items in Fortnite. A large majority of them are crossover weapons that were only available for a limited time, but Fortnite has created a few entirely unique Mythics in the past. This list will be ranking the ten best in terms of usefulness and how diverse their abilities are. Being well-balanced is also an important factor to consider here.

10 Thunder Spears

Attack on Titan is the fourth anime to be introduced to Fortnite. This crossover introduced two new Mythics into the game. The formidable Thunder Spear is great when it comes to destroying buildings, but is a bit lackluster when it comes to defeating players.

You do have eight chances to use this weapon before it disappears, but the damage and explosion radius is inefficient. This Mythic could be spectacular if buffed, but as it is it’s just a neat reference with moderate utility. The difficulty of getting into the right range to use it to best effect means that it’s ultimately quite impractical to wield.

9 Explosive Batarangs

There aren’t many DC crossover weapons in Fortnite, especially when compared to the large arsenal of Marvel abilities. Batman, however, is one of the most popular DC heroes, and the Batarang is one of the Caped Crusader’s most iconic tools, so it makes sense that this was among the first additions from the company.

Many Marvel weapons have at least a vague similarity to other weapons in the game, but this one still stands out quite a bit due to this specific combination. Being rather unusual, though, it can be rather niche.

7 The Infinity Gauntlet

One of the most beloved events from Fortnite Chapter 1 allowed players to pick up the Infinity Gauntlet to become Thanos. Only one player in a match could be the Mad Titan at any given time, and he certainly made it chaotic. Being Thanos gave players an extremely powerful attack, additional health, and a super jump.
