Resident Evil 3 Mod Lets You Play as Nemesis
A recently released modification enables gamers to assume the role of Nemesis in the original Resident Evil 3. A new mod for Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, titled “Resident Evil 3 Nemesis Scenario,” was recently released by modder Komizo. This mod completely alters the game, allowing players to assume the role of Nemesis instead of Jill. Originally, gamers could only play as the protagonist Jill Valentine and briefly as Carlos Oliveira in the story mode, but never as the villain. In this mod, Nemesis has a distinct gameplay style, possessing greater durability than other playable characters and the ability to physically assault enemies in addition to using conventional weapons.
According to the official description of the mod, RE3 fans can enjoy two distinct game modes. In the Original Mode, players will experience the game’s official storyline while controlling Nemesis as the main character. This mode closely resembles the original path but includes subtle adjustments to ensure narrative coherence. Merely replacing Jill with Nemesis would result in peculiar cutscenes, so this mode allows players to encounter the previous main character multiple times throughout the playthrough. Additionally, there is an Arrange Mode that deviates from the original story, enabling Nemesis to freely roam Raccoon City and eliminate S.T.A.R.S. members. The same maps are utilized in this mode, but with different objectives and item placements. Overall, this mod offers a refreshing experience for one of the finest installments in the Resident Evil franchise, which is certain to please veteran players.
However, this is not the only reimagining of the classic Capcom game. A YouTuber recently recreated Resident Evil 3 in the style of a Soulslike game. Unfortunately, it is not a mod. The YouTuber Rustic Gamer BR created the content using Photoshop, Blender, and Unity, resulting in an entertaining video for fans to enjoy.
