The Weight Of Command Side Quest Guide

Final Fantasy 16 is brimming with a plethora of distinctive side quests that Clive can embark on during his journey across Valisthea. As players advance through the main story, more side quests become accessible, allowing Clive to start a new one after completing a lengthy section of the game.
If you’re wondering which side quests are worth completing, check out our guide here.
One of the side quests in Final Fantasy 16 is The Weight of Command, which becomes available during the Bolts from the Blue main quest. However, Clive can only undertake this quest after completing the Getting to Work sub-objective.
The Weight of Command is a short quest where Clive must find some missing Cursebreakers and rescue two Bearers.
To start this quest, players need to interact with Dorya – a red-haired woman standing on the wooden walkway north of the Boarding Deck in The Hideaway – after completing the Getting to Work sub-objective in Bolts from the Blue. Dorya tells Clive that Cole’s party of Cursebreakers is missing, and she asks him to investigate.
According to Dorya, Cole and his fellow Cursebreakers are somewhere in The Dragon’s Aery. To find them, Clive should fast-travel to The Dragon’s Aery Obelisk and head west towards The Holy Hand. Following the dirt path, players will see Cole and his group of Cursebreakers to the left, just behind a tree. Speaking with Cole, he will explain that some Bearers were left behind, and they can be found to the south.
From Cole’s position, Clive should head directly south until he comes across a wrecked carriage surrounded by Goblins. The remaining Bearers are trapped inside the carriage, so Clive will need to take care of the nearby Goblins before freeing them.
During the battle, Clive will face three Level 28 Goblin Leechers and a Level 28 Gigas Bruiser. Defeating the former is easy, but the Gigas Bruiser can be tough. Although most of its attacks are slow and predictable, its Big Swing move can be unforgiving. If Clive is within the Gigas Bruiser’s range when it performs this attack, he will need to dodge multiple times to avoid getting hit. Otherwise, he can back away until the attack ends.
Once Clive saves the two Bearers, he can return to The Hideaway and speak to Dorya, who can now be found at the top of the stairs leading to The Mess. After a brief conversation, she rewards Clive with 40 Sharp Fangs, 40 Steelsilk, and The Breath of Fire (Rising Flames) accessory. When equipped, this accessory reduces the cooldown time of the Rising Flame ability by two seconds.
Final Fantasy 16 is available exclusively for PlayStation 5.

Final Fantasy 16 is jam-packed with an array of unique side quests for Clive to pursue during his travels across Valisthea. More side quests become available the further players progress through the main story, so Clive will almost always be able to start a new one after completing one of the game’s more lengthy sections.
