Where To Find Every Art Unlock Kit In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed presents players with the opportunity to utilize four Arts, or standard attacks, with each party member. However, by obtaining Art Unlock Kits, players can increase this number to six, thereby enabling them to further explore the game’s battle system and enhance their tactical options. There are a total of twelve Art Unlock Kits, each of which requires varying degrees of effort to obtain.
The first Art Unlock Kit can be found as early as Chapter 2 in the Ragrinar Passage Cave. This hidden cave can be accessed by heading through the Gaur Vladuct, which lies above a cave entrance. At the end of the cave, players will find a chest containing the first Art Unlock Kit.
The second Art Unlock Kit is located in the Exile Fortress Ruins, behind a black Relic chest situated behind a broken down throne. This location can be found on the eastern cliff side near the large pink tree in the Aurora Shelf region.
The Corner Between Camps houses the third Art Unlock Kit, and can be found by following the path between the Clifftop Camp and Pioneer’s Camp in the Aurora Shelf region. The kit is hidden near a container in a sharp curve in the road after the Volf enemy territory.
The fourth Art Unlock Kit can be found beneath Ruined Anti-Air Battery 3 in the water on the left side. Players must be cautious while swimming to this location, as they may encounter fishy foes and the rushing waterfall may drag them down.
The fifth Art Unlock Kit is located in the Gotrock Oracle Ruins, which is east of Colony 9 and the Anti-Air Battery. Players will be required to come here during a late story moment, but can pick up this kit soon after reaching Colony 9 by repairing a broken ladder and climbing up to a chest.
The sixth Art Unlock Kit can be obtained by completing the Hunt For The Kids side quest. This quest can be started part way through Chapter 3 by talking to Dillon near Colony 9’s bridge. Players must follow the quest indicator past Tephra Hill to eventually find the colony’s missing children and be rewarded with the kit.
The Lakeside Rock hides the seventh Art Unlock Kit between the Lakeside Camp and Raguel Lake. Players must climb up onto the largest rock in the area to find the kit.
The eighth Art Unlock Kit can be obtained by completing the Junior Workforce side quest. Players must first find two NPCs named Finley and Axel to start the quest, and will be quizzed by certain characters to obtain the kit.
The ninth Art Unlock Kit can be found in the Royal Green Bush, situated in the Gelgemos Garrison. Players must climb up a repairable ladder to face a superboss and then head to a small cave that leads to the Royal Green. The northernmost bush on this platform contains the kit.
The tenth Art Unlock Kit can be found on the opposite side of the Royal Green bush that contains the ninth kit. Players must carefully walk across a fallen pillar and jump over to a secret balcony not displayed on the map to find a chest containing the kit.
The eleventh Art Unlock Kit can be found at the Raguel Bridge Ether Slide, where players must set up multiple Ether Slides to reach a black Relic chest with the penultimate Art Unlock Kit inside.
The twelfth and final Art Unlock Kit is located in the Smart Rhogul Relic Chest Nest, which requires players to utilize four Ether Slides to reach. They must swim to the end of a cave in Outlook Park and defeat a unique monster to set up their first Ether Slide. They must then create two more Ether Slides to reach Ravaged Village, where they must get past the Fog Rift to set up another Fog Rift on the south side. The final Art Unlock Kit can be found in a black Relic chest along the wall, and players are encouraged to make an additional Ether Slide for an unrelated reward.
By collecting all twelve Art Unlock Kits, players can increase their tactical options and experiment with the various possibilities of the game’s battle system.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed allows all party members to use four standard attacks, known as Arts. This number will increase to six each by finding all the upgrades known as Art Unlock Kits. Those looking to increase their tactical options and experiment with the possibilities of the game’s battle system, then, will be amply rewarded for taking the time to collect these important items.
There are twelve Art Unlock Kits total. Some are easy to obtain, but others require a lot more effort. From simply looting an out-in-the-open treasure chest to answering a quiz, here is how to find each one, in order of when they become available in the course of this fantastic adventure.
Kit #1: Ragrinar Passage Cave
The first Art Unlock Kit can be found as early as Chapter 2. Near the elevator that took fans from the Vermillion Wood region to the Aurora Shelf region is an area called the Ragrinar Passage.
The Gaur Vladuct is right above a cave entrance that is hidden on the map. Head through the cave to find a chest at the end which contains an Art Unlock Kit.
Kit #2: Exile Fortress Ruins
Head towards the large pink tree on top of a cliff in the center of the Aurora Shelf. On the eastern cliff side is a location called the Exile Fortress Ruins. Inside the center room is a broken down throne. Behind the throne is a black Relic chest which contains the Art Unlock Kit.
The party will be forced to come here briefly during the main storyline. If they didn’t pick it up here the first time, they may have to defeat an optional boss to get to this chest (all sorts of surprises await in this fascinating world).
Kit #3: Corner Between Camps
Between the Clifftop Camp and the Pioneer’s Camp located in the Aurora Shelf region is a single path that all players go through.
After the Volf enemy territory and before the Aspars start to spawn is a sharp curve in the road. Head to this corner and look for an Art Unlock Kit near a container secreted away.
Kit #4: Ruined Anti-Air Battery 3
Ruined Anti-Air Battery 3 is a large structure to the south of Colony 9. Beneath it in the water on the left side is an Art Unlock Kit.
Players may need to defeat a few fishy foes if they swim through the water to reach here. They must be careful not to swim too far near the ledge, too, since the rushing waterfall will easily drag them down.
Kit #5: Gotrock Oracle Ruins
East of Colony 9 and the Anti-Air Battery sits the Gotrock Oracle Ruins. The party will be required to come here during a late story moment, but can pick up this kit soon after reaching Colony 9.
To access it, they’ll need to swim around the south side to find a broken ladder. Repairing this ladder will allow them to climb up to a chest with a precious Art Unlock Kit inside.
Kit #6: Hunt For The Kids (Side Quest)
This quest can be started part way through the action-packed Chapter 3. Fans will need to talk to Dillon near Colony 9’s bridge to activate it. He’ll ask them to help find the colony’s children who went missing.
Following the quest indicator past Tephra Hill, players will eventually come across their location between the Aurora Shelf and Yesterdale regions. They’ll be rewarded with another Art Unlock Kit after saving them from Fog Beasts.
Kit #7: Lakeside Rock
Between the Lakeside Camp and Raguel Lake, in the area shown in the map above, are a few relatively nondescript rocks that hide a secret. This general area was used for one of the late game Na’el cutscenes.
Climbing up onto the largest rock, which is situated prominently in the center of the pile, players will find the next Art Unlock Kit sitting on top.
Kit #8: Junior Workforce (Side Quest)
Players must first find two NPCs to start this side quest. The first one is named Finley. They can be found by heading along the path south of Colony 9. It’ll lead the party to a staircase called Outlook Park. Jump down into the water in the center. Finley will be hiding in a corner down there. The second NPC named Axel is near the Oracle Spire. They’re hiding under the bridge.
The main part of the quest takes place in Colony 9. The team must simply talk to the required characters, and then prepare to be quizzed. There will be five randomly selected questions. Below are the correct answers for a few of the questions.
Item | Answer |
---|---|
Walnut Grape | Fruit |
Humming Plumb | Fruit |
Red Durian | Fruit |
Sour Gooseberry | Fruit |
Cool Potato | Vegetable |
Filling Onion | Vegetable |
Kelp Mushroom | Mushroom |
Jalapeños | Mushroom |
Dainty Shroom | Mushroom |
Varicines | Mushroom |
Lucky Spice | Seed |
Bizarrenacle | Shell |
Kit #9: Royal Green Bush
Head to the Gelgemos Garrison. The interior part of this location contains a staircase that leads to a repairable ladder. Climbing it will take the player to a superboss, but it won’t attack them unless they attack its egg. Around the corner is a small cave that leads to an outlook called the Royal Green.
Fans should look down to see a few bushes, then change to a character who has at minimum 4,410 health before jumping down, so they can survive the fall damage. The northernmost bush on this platform has an Art Unlock Kit hidden inside it.
If players have yet to find the following kit, however, they shouldn’t jump down any further just yet.
Kit #10: Royal Green’s Secret Second Relic
To find the next Art Unlock Kit, fans should dtart from Kit #9’s location. On the opposite side of the bush that contains that kit is a fallen pillar. Carefully walk across it, and jump over to a secret balcony not displayed on the map.
Run around the following corner to find a chest at the end. This chest contains yet another Art Unlock Kit.
Kit #11: Raguel Bridge Ether Slide
Travel to the center of Raguel Bridge, then jump down to some platforms below the bridge. There the team will be able to set up multiple Ether Slides. The south Ether Slide will take them over to a natural pillar.
Look to the east to find a black Relic chest with the penultimate Art Unlock Kit inside.
The party must be careful not to fall down here, as there’s no quick way back up!
Kit #12: Smart Rhogul Relic Chest Nest
This final Art Unlock Kit will require quite a lot of resources, as a total of four Ether Slides must be made to reach it. The team must jump down into Outlook Park’s water, just as they did to find Finley for Kit #6. This time, they’ll swim all the way to the end of the cave, and set up the first Ether Slide at the end. They may need to beat a unique monster to do so.
After that, create two more Ether Slides to reach Ravaged Village. Get past the Fog Rift to set up another Fog Rift on the south side. There the party will find multiple Rhoguls protecting their eggs. There is a black Relic chest along the wall which contains the final Art Unlock Kit. If possible, it’s also recommended to make one additional Ether Slide after collecting this chest, to obtain a different, unrelated reward.
