World of Warcraft Reveals Expanded Trading Post
For a limited time, the Trading Post in the popular game, World of Warcraft, will feature new and expanded stock for players to peruse and earn additional Trader’s Tenders. This new stock includes rewards from past World of Warcraft expansions and events, as well as items that were previously unattainable by players for quite some time.
The Trading Post has been met with a positive reception among World of Warcraft players. However, a recent datamine has suggested that the Trader’s Tender currency could be added to the Blizzard Store as a microtransaction in the future. Although Blizzard has not officially commented on the datamined assets for the Trading Post in question, the prospect has left some players concerned about the future of the Trading Post if it goes down that route. Only time will tell if and when Blizzard will announce such a change. But, for now, WoW players have some new Trading Post items and activities to look forward to.
During July and August, the Trading Post in World of Warcraft will feature some rare items for players to spend their Trader’s Tenders on. One of these items is the Spectral Tiger Cub, a pet that was previously available via a World of Warcraft TCG item code, for 750 Trader’s Tenders. Two faction-exclusive mounts, the Alliance’s Alabaster Stormtalon and the Horde’s Alabaster Thunderwing mounts, will be coming to the Trading Post later in the event. These mounts were obtained previously by purchasing the World of Warcraft 18th Anniversary Bundle last year. Players who earn 1000 Traveler’s Log points by completing tasks in July, such as taking part in the Midsummer Fire Festival and the Auction House Dance Party, will obtain a new Dragonriding mount called the Grotto Netherwing Drake and an additional 200 Trader’s Tenders.
Some items that were obtainable via the Trading Post in previous months will make their return this July, including the Filigreed Lion’s Maw shield and the Fists of Polar Fury weapon. Additionally, players who missed the Diablo 4 crossover event in World of Warcraft will have a second chance to obtain the mount called Tyrael’s Charger, which will cost 900 Trader’s Tenders. Prior to the Diablo 4 event, Tyrael’s Charger was a preorder reward for Diablo 3 that WoW players could obtain for a limited time in 2012.
Although the list of Trader’s Log activities is extensive, it is surprising that activities related to the upcoming Fractures in Time content update are strangely missing from July’s log. Nevertheless, World of Warcraft players will have plenty to do throughout the summer.
World of Warcraft is currently available for PC.
